"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I've had a lot of plates spinning recently and probably circulate around half a dozen or so venues in my off days. I run into chick who basically did not show up for date one time when we had plans. I see her, say hello as I walk past, and quickly move along. I certainly didn't want to get into a lengthy conversation, but I didn't want her to think I was so emotionally hurt that I was going to give her icy stare downs or deliberately ignore her.

Any advice on dealing with this situation to maintain dignity, self respect, alpha status, and other chick options?

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

First, I don't make plans that are dependant upon a woman if I know there is any real chance of her flaking. Instead, I make plans that will be convennient for me irrespective of whether she shows up or not. Make your timebridge something you'd be doing anyway or have her meet you at your place. I break these rules myself, but I know when I do it that there is always some small chance I'll be annoyed, although fortunately no one has flaked in a while now.

I think you handled it good. You didn't act bitter or ignored her, you acknowledged her presence and moved on. You don't owe her to stay and chat with her nor should you feel obligated to, after her disrespectful behaviour of not showing up to a date and not informing you.
