well, I was in the same boat as you except I went along with the catholic faith, I didn't get confirmed though cause we didn't have my original birth certificate.

I used to be catholic but I could no longer agree with this religion, Now Im a Believer in Christ, having been born again.

If you really love your parents and are really thankful for all that they have done for you, go ahead do it. If not then leave the house and move in with your friend. Cause why live with people that you don't love?

omg if he doesnt get confirmed , it doesnt mean that he doesnt love his parents....
why you religious people always gotta make things black and white ....

to the original poster :
well you gotta ask yourself somethings , since you go to a catholic hs will you be hated or basicly an outcast because your not technically a catholic , i heard some places religious people really dislike the "non - believers"...
what do you really believe in... ?
will it really matter to be confirmed ?
will it disrupt your daily life , by being confirmed?

all in all if your parents are like extremy religious , then i dont think talking to them about there not being a god anymore will help , cuz these religious people never seem to want to hear the other side or even try understand it. But if they are like most semi religious people , you could try to make them understand that getting confirmed isent that important.
third you could just get confirmed and forget about all the conflict that may come if you dont want to get confirmed...

hope this helps mate...
