Soo I've been spinning plates lately with HB6 to HB7, which is fine, but when I get to pick up an HB8 to an HB9, then the problem arises. I tend to drop the HB6 and HB7 since I wasn't really into them.. Anyone encountering similar problems. The only way that I can spin plates with an HB8 or HB9 is if I get another HB8 or HB9 at the same time... And I haven't had the opportunity to have those favourable scenarios..

Alas, this is the problem with the proverbial "spinning plates"

If you're a guy who has trouble getting even one girl, then this advice does nothing for you. It makes you feel worse, because you feel inadequate since you're not good looking enough to spin plates.

I'm in the same boat my friend - I could probably pull a 6 but they do nothing for me.

Well I have no problem getting an HB8 or HB9, but its a matter of finding them that is the problem. Occasionally, I'm blessed to have picked up one along the way, but most of the time, all I see are HB6 and HB7, so you still pick them up for the sake of "practicing". And occasionally, I bump in to girls that are HB8 to HB10, land their numbers, talk to them, go on the date, but I end up dropping the HB6 and HB7 that I picked up previously..

Yeah, but if you've reached the point where you've quit and just accepted the fate that you're not destined to attract women, then you probably shouldn't be on this site at all...since it's not contributing to your life in any positive way.

Like, what are you supposed to do when a guy wakes up every morning telling himself that he has no chance? I'm not a therapist.

I see what you're trying to get at here. But you fail to see where a lot of guys here are coming from. Many haven't even had a date in over a year. If you're pulling 8s and 9s and fvcking them then that's great for you!!! But if a guy is having trouble even getting a 6, then "spinning plates" doesn't do anything for them.

Your advice is kind of like Arnold Schwarzenegger saying to a skinny person, "just lift weights and you'll be like me". Or Lebron James saying "put in time on the court and you'll be MVP too some day".

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Everyone starts somewhere and even if your bottom of the barrel which was me.

I was super skinny and sucked ass at first but I made it a FOCUS to get a good body and get good with women.

NOTHING in life is easy. You need to ask yourself first, how badly do you want this?

Then start spinning plates with 6's then... I have started with 6s and 7s to get my confidence up and do trial and error. Rome wasn't build in one day... If you're going to use working out as an example, I started out being skinny as hell in highschool from 110 lbs.. Now I'm at 170 lbs. I have been working out since highschool and its been 10 years now. And all I have to say is that success is done with progression. Work what you have for now, improve on yourself slowly until you reach those HB8 to HB10. I made this post because I am starting to realize that once you reach HB8 to HB10, spinning plates alongside with HB6 and HB7 becomes difficult since interest is not there anymore.. It's like you're offered steak and you use to eat fish..

well then it's time you thought about doing something else.

being on here is only going to fuel your frustration.

what is it you are good at? what is it you excel at? i suggest focusing on that and making that your priority. perhaps then the pu$$y might follow if you were actually good at something apart from being negative about women and yourself all the time.

i read on another thread your comment about beating women with a 9 iron. is it possible women can pick up on your angry vibes?

Your advice is kind of like Arnold Schwarzenegger saying to a skinny person, "just lift weights and you'll be like me". Or Lebron James saying "put in time on the court and you'll be MVP too some day".

But in those examples you provided, Arnold and Lebron are basically saying, "If you work hard, you'll start seeing desirable results."

Which isn't bad advice.

Sure, there are guys out there who are socially awkward, or obese, or suffering from mental illness to the point where they cannot achieve consistent success with women.

There's nothing I can do for those guys. No, we cannot all grow up to be "DJ's," astronauts or CEOs of Fortune 500 companies. We refer to that realization as "growing up."

But even if a person isn't good looking or athletic, there's nothing wrong with advising him to develop hobbies, start working out, try new things, expand your social circle, talk to people, smile.....None of those things are negative. You don't need to have a rotation of 5 women to be successful or happy in life.

If somebody comes on here, acting like "Woe is me. I can't date 10 women at once." Well I don't feel bad for that guy....because he's too dumb to realize that success and happiness aren't dependent upon some number. The number of women you f**k....the number of dates you get....That's not what it's about.

I've been visiting this site off and on for a decade. And at its core, this is a site about personal development. Or at least it USED TO be. If you're going to put the full weight of your personal happiness on finding some girl, then that's on you. I can't control that.

If your path in life dictates that you can't consistently pull women, then find your confidence from other places. But for the love of god, don't come on here whining nonstop expecting sympathy.

If you can get women, but you don't push yourself out of your comfort zone to actually DO SOMETHING...then it's your fault for not trying.

If you can't get women, and you don't try hard enough to find confidence and happiness in OTHER aspects of life....then it's your fault for putting too much weight on women and relationships.

Whether it's women or anything else, I'm not gonna feel bad for the guy who's sitting around feeling sorry for himself.

I'm extremely good at math, but I don't think that pulls chicks?

My issue has always been my strengths aren't what women desire. If I were good at football, wrestling, getting tattoos, or dealing drugs, I would never even found out about SOS. But women don't care about the things that I like to do, so whenever I outline my interests, I'm basically talking to a brick wall.

I'm not angry at all...a little bitter yes (that stops me from approaching women cause I know what they are going to say), but I don't act angry around women.

Your problem exists in yourself; no where else. The thing with you is that you have such a closed minded way of thinking I doubt you'll ever change. You simply can't think outside how you normally think. This is where a true DJ shines as he can "think" outside the box. I can see your problem, and it's as clear as night and day (and I'm sure the others can as well). It's simple, you don't need to be some kind of super fiction character, you just need to be YOU. But it's finding the true and confident YOU that you're not doing.

Whether or not you choose to believe me is up to you...

It might if it could secure you a decent job that affords nice clothes, a nice apartment and a nice car - you know, the essential stuff. :D .

Perhaps you're talking to the wrong women then. Stop talking to girls who are impressed with athletes, tats or drugs and start talking to ones who are impressed with brains. :D

how do you know what women are going to say if you are not approaching them. that sounds like a cop out. either that or you are a mind-reader - in which case you ought to have no problem getting the ladies... :D
My responses in red in-betwixt your post.

Spinning plates sucks.

You basically have the same issues arise as when you enter into two different full-time jobs. At some point you are faced with a choice. Plus girls can make your life a living hell with their drama and suspicions.

I'm convinced that no one spins plates for 'quality of life' reasons but rather 'to prove to myself that im a player' reasons. This idea is like hundreds of times better in theory than it proved to be in my little reality. As if dating two random chicks is so goddamn invigorating anyway. Quality not quantity brohams.

nope! Spinning plates saved my life.

Deeply embroiled in Oneitis, I began spinning plates. Only then did i realise the insanity of the situation. I WASN'T IN LOVE! i was obsessed. infatuated by a girl who was not worth my time.

Spinning plates allows the mind to release it's grip on a target which you will only suffocate and push away with your obsessive thoughts.

For some people it does, for some it doesn't. Not everyone has the same goals with women.

For one thing, a relationship drains my time SIGNIFICANTLY more than casually dating 2 or 3 girls.

I live in NYC. This isn't some slow paced town where I'm out of work at 4:30 every day, and coming home to a home cooked dinner and a woman sitting on the couch. I have a busy schedule, I have hobbies, I have social obligations...basically I have things I'd rather be doing than dedicating 3-5 nights out of my week to a girlfriend.

You can't take the concept of "not jumping into relationships" and turn it into "you're only doing it to prove that you're a playa." You're not even entertaining the thought that not everyone lives your lifestyle.

If you want to preserve yourself for the rare relationship-worthy girl that comes along, more power to you. For these guys who are trying to actively go out there and date women until they find the right one, I recommend plate-spinning. But as they say, to each his own.

Yeah, you're right on that score. Inadvertently ascribing my own goals to others and assuming they live my lifestyle, guilty as charged.

It creeps up on you. Point taken.

provided youre spinning plates of equal calibre. i cannot for the life of me spin plates between a 6 and an 8 or 9. i find it outright impossible since my interest level for the 6 or 7 drops consideably. it has to be the same level plates....
