First things first. I am no advertising anything for me. I get absolutely nothing from this, this isn't a scam.
And chances are if you go through with the requirements, you'll probably get nothing from it.

I'm sure all the regulars of the anything else board are somewhat familiar with "Maddox", the angry, woman/child hating, lumberjack/pirate loving writer.

Well he has a deal with a publishing company, and is looking for illustrators. The workload will be big, but experience/qualifications are not necessary. Talent and familiaratity with his writing are necessary.

To cut an already long story short. He's running a competition and the best couple of illustrators will be selected, and paid, to illustrate his book.

I haven't read Maddox in about a year, but if he's anything like he is when I stopped reading him, then he's not funny anymore. He went way downhill. He was amazingly funny up until ~ the end of 2003 and then he didn't update as frequently and when he would update none of them would be at all funny anymore. It seemed like he ran out of material or something.

He did go downhill, but his newest article about words was brilliant.
