"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Sorry, I was reading your posts word for word religiously and forgot that this was your rnd2 BC. Goodluck anyways.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Week 4, Day 2 (Tuesday):

Just a horrible day/night out. I'm still tired from Fri/Sat in the field. I'm also feeling pressure from the number close assignment. Time to 'man' up. Not quite.

First convo, 1 PM, grocery store: I see a short blonde in a t shirt and bike shorts funneling through a bunch of drinks in hyper fashion in the juice section. Her head's stuck all the way into the cooler so I can't make out her face just yet. I want to wait to at least glimpse her face to see if the approach is worth it. I wait a minute or so then turn back. She's gone. I look up a couple of aisles. No dice. I check the checkout aisle. There she is. I get in line behind her. I start the convo:

me: "excuse me."
her: looks back, no major response.
me" Hey, get outta my way!" I laugh a bit to let her know I'm joking.
her: she laughs back. She's cute: freckles, sun kissed blonde hair, and a tan. She's got a nose piercing and a bit too much black eye makeup. Kind of a goofy college girl demeanor. HB7.
I notice her hair is wet.
me: "did you just get out of the gym?"
her: "No, I teach swim lessons..."
Big smile, good eye contact, body still 'neutral.' She looks very young.
me: "so are you going to school?"
her: "yeah, I'm in my third year at X university."
me: "you look younger than that."
her: "yeah, people tell me that."

It's her turn to check out.
her: "well it was very nice talking to you."

I don't attempt the number close. This is the second checkout aisle convo. I've number closed before in under two minutes, but it leaves a lot of work to be done on the phone, plus I've got nerves. I just don't. I should've asked for it.

---

Weekday night out: 9 PM:

I'm usually not big for 'going out' on the weekdays. This will be my third night out in five days and so I'm especially cautious since my sets tend to blow up when my fuel tank reads 'empty' or near empty. I've made a commitment to going out however, and I want to stick to my word.

'Round 8:20, I pick up my wing. He's a new guy. I talked with him for an hour on the phone the day prior, trying to give him pointers and he is receptive, unlike my kamikaze wing from Friday night, who still insists on wearing hawaiian shirts, not doing anything about his bald spot, wears tennis shoes to trendy clubs, and insists on memorizing cheesy openers. My new wing is actually dressed up for a night out which is a big relief. These are good signs as he has some minimal understanding of how to game and is open to input. He insists right away we should stick around the westside, another intelligent practical tip. However, I insist we meet up with our wing, to fulfill our commitment, which turns out to be a big mistake.

We get out to LA's main entertainment strip. There are a large number of hot bodies at the karaoke spot we go to. The new wing is not really insistent on talking to girls but wants to talk about 'game'. I'm ok with that, as we wait for our wing. I think he'll be late 15, 20 minutes max. Turns out he never shows up at all, and we're there over an hour. I'm pissed. I felt like I could have done some work, gone to the gym or gotten some much needed rest that night. We blow the venue, check out another place on the main strip then head back to the westside.

---

11 PM: we're at a billiards club. Lots of pretty girls. My wing grabs a drink and sees two Asian HB's at the bar. He wants to approach them. Nerves get the better of him. I try to approach also, but don't muster the nerve. We watch other guys approach, and watch other guys try to get the nerve to approach.
My new wing is starting to become a pain in the ass in his own right now as well. He's had a drink and is beginning to hurl insults my and also putting himself down in the process. He's saying how weak 'our' game is, how I should've gotten ten rejections that very night since it would've been so easy. Trust me, this guy comes off like prince charming compared to my other wings even though he's acting like a complete dyck. That's how low I've sunk with my wings. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

---

12:30 PM. We check out our final club, a rock club/bar. I see a pretty young redhead isolated, waiting for someone in a group of three talking about 8 feet away. I approach immediately. At least I've internalized the skill of approaching girls who are isolated. She's very friendly, but tells me within a couple of minutes she is waiting for her fiancee who has just performed with his band that night. The fiancee comes over. He's about 6' 210 and seems a bit suspicious: "what's up?" he asks without a smile. I think the expression on my face reveals that I've done something 'wrong.' Nonetheless, I continue, asking the girl and guy both some questions and trying to remain friendly. My new wing leans in, trying to hear, smiling. He blurts out:

"it was my idea to come here! I told him about the place!" He actually raises his hand to gain attention. Terrible move. I reluctantly introduce him as my friend "new wing."

I'm just relieved I've "opened a set" as PUA's call it. We drive around looking for a few bars/clubs but they're all closed. My new wing wants to wing again. That is, he wants me chaperone him around town for free, give him free advice and basically mooch off me until he feels like he can move on. Unbelievable.

---

Conclusion:

Terrible night out. Terrible. I hate winging with newbies, even if they're really nice guys like New Wing. New Wing is cutting his teeth, but still, there are a few things that irritate me about him. First of all, he's retired and independently wealthy. However, he insists on contacting me so I can drive him out to our venue. I don't appreciate this. He says he might offer me a ride next time IF we go out again. This is just weak to me.

Also, I gave him lots of pointers the night before. He really doesn't seem to be terribly grateful. I like talking about these things to some degree, but it seems like I've gone through a lot of effort to help this guy out and he seems not to acknowledge it, or at least not to the degree I'd like. It seems like every time I wing with someone new, I wind extremely irritated at that guy, due to an extreme lack of social skills in one, a few or every area of social interaction.

In addition to that, when New Wing and I arrive at our destination, he wants to talk about "game." Just a terrible idea. We should have just started to have conversations with females, period. What's the point of talking about it? Well, he's new, and he's probably wanting to talk about "game" in order to stall entering into the "game" which is talking to girls because it makes him nervous.

Another thing, he busts up my set and steps in without invitation and makes a bunch of newbie mistakes. He bursts into the conversation. He starts waving his hands around. I don't really care about this set (the engaged girl), but what if he's going to do that with other sets? How many blown sets should I tolerate?

Also, the kamikaze wing from Friday doesn't show, after HE insisted on a weekday night out. He's probably the worst of the wings I've been out with. I feel like I went out of my way to help him also, and this clown flakes on me.

Just a bad night out. Bad.

NOTHING MUCH TO READ HERE

Week 4, Day 5 (Friday):

11 PM: meet up with a wing and we head out to a bar. I am having a terrible week of bootcamp. My worst week of bootcamp period. I have not approached at all for a phone number this week. Terrible. What's more terrible is that there are some family issues which need to be sorted out. They've been weighing heavily on my mind and I have refused to deal with them. Forget about being a DJ, a normal person would just deal with them. I have refused, and it's my fault. I will deal with it. I have to man up and it's a disgrace that I haven't so far.

As far as the bar, I am feeling so guilty about my family issues that it affects everything I do. I don't feel I should be having a good time and I do not tonight. I talk to a married girl. Is this a pattern here or what? I talk to a couple of Latin girls, a BBW and her cute HB7 friend. A guy who's been trying to talk to her grabs her by the hand and leads her to the bar. I see him at the bar. He is practically sweating, looking over his shoulder every second to see if the girl has deserted him before he's bought her a drink.

My wing actually approaches a group of Asian girls. Good for him. He's there for less than a minute but that's better than last time when he didn't approach at all.

Nothing much to report. I feel like ****. I need to take care of these issues and be a man about it.

Peace,

Allan

why dont you wing with a friend, or someone you at least know as an acquaintence? seems kind of counter productive to do this with people you know nothing about.

MYSTERY METHOD FR

A FR, then a couple of questions:

A very eye opening outing in the field last night/this morning. I hooked up with a new wing who's already taken the MM (mystery method) seminar (and also went out with someone I've already winged with in the past). I've been in the game since April '05 and have limited myself mainly to opening single, isolated girls during the day. Obviously, this
strategy is pretty much suicidal for anyone who's interested in night game.

Also, I have limited exposure to the seduction literature and theory, limiting myself mainly
to readings from sosuave.com. As a result, up until now, I thought approaching large sets
(of 4, 5, or more) was just a waste of time. 'How can I keep all those girls occupied?' 'I'll get blown out, forget it,' I assumed. I had lots of preconceptions, most of them negative.
One of my wings just completely blew away this preconception last night. His innovation was to play a game where one wing points to a set, gives the second wing an opener, and sends him in.

I point to a four set of what look like young persian and/or hispanic girlss and send MM guy in. 'What's my opener?' he asks. 'Who's the designated driver?' I tell him. He looks surprised but game. He takes two seconds to think of a bridge from the opener to a story then moves in. He does incredibly well. I watch the action from a distance and all four girls are listening intently, eyes wide open, mouths open, staring at him as he speaks
in an animated fashion. He is smiling and clearly enjoying himself. I've gotten bored with my
set, and head over to his. I don't want to interrupt the flow, but am really amazed by the way he flows and want to get a closer glimpse. When I'm in, the two prettier girls who stand closest to him, seem most interested in his story. I talk to the three girls furthest from my wing. MM guy semi isolates the girl closest to him, and the second
prettiest girl in set.

Conclusion: outstanding performance. I just can't believe MM guy is able to occupy four girls all at once and keep them enraptured with his storytelling (two of them are quite pretty, all are young). I can believe it now, but my prior preconceptions left me in awe as I saw it unfold before my eyes. These seminars do work.

My other wing number closes a tall blonde within fifteen minutes of entering the venue, and in only his second set.

MM guy sees me entering a lot of sets and tells me I did great. He says I hung in there for a long time and congratulates me on opening half a dozen times. In all honesty, the three of us combined have probably talked to at least two thirds of the passably attractive girls in the venue, within an hour's time. MM guy sends me into mixed sets, two and six sets, and so forth. A really fun game. I was just LMAO the entire night. Some examples:

MM sends me into a mixed FMF set. Turns out the two girls are lesbians and the guy is gay
and all three are living together. They all inform me of this with a straight face. I start
laughing out loud thinking they're blowing smoke up my rear end, but they keep repeating and corroborating the story with straight faces instead of 'knowing' smiles. I'm still cracking up inside even as I compose myself while congratulating them all for being open minded.

MM sends me to a table and gives me an opener for a tiny latina in a party of six. Turns out she is 13. I'm in disbelief. Again, the story is repeated by several members of the party with a straight face. I say 'thanks' and report back to my wing. MM slaps his knee so hard and belly laughs I just have to have a good time with this one.

Absolutely crazy night. Having a drill sargeant is very illuminating. Before, it was like I was
looking at a black and white picture: that is, everyone looked 'occupied' and unapproachable. When a drill sargeant TELLS YOU there is a set, it's a set. When he gives you an opener, you're damm well certain it's a set. Every set looks 'open' now.
Mixed sets, large sets, whatever. It's like going from a black and white to a color picture
just like that.
Being 'sent in' reframes everything. Unbelievable (until now).

Now here's the down part. In my heart though, I'm not 'into' the sets. I'm at a point where I
am making some major life transitions, in terms of work, in terms of my residence, in terms of my family and in terms of the game. I feel overloaded and generally stressed out. Everything in my life is turning topsy turvy (just about all of it for the
positive, but they're all major changes). I'm entering sets but not with great enthusiasm. I don't feel I have the energy to close and feel like rejection would hurt me too much and leave me with too little energy for the rest of my life's activities. I know it's supposed to work the
other way around: you game, you draw confidence from the game, your overall life improves
and you 'get the hot chicks' as Shark might say.

Questions:

1. What if you don't feel 'on?' Do any of you stop at some points to take a breather so to speak? That is, are you willing to set it aside, say for a couple of weeks or a month to focus on something else or is this chickening out and finding excuses? In other words, how do you deal with feeling drained from multiple major life transitions? Do
you try to ignore this feeling, or do you acknowledge it by putting less energy into pickup?

2. I've noticed major differences depending on location: hollywood, west LA, the valley,
westwood, etc. share similarities but each is distinctly different in terms of how 'accessible'
the girls are. In some locations, the shields are on full blast. In others, they barely seem to
exist. Do you think it's best to start with the most difficult venues first, hoping that everything else seems easy afterwards, or should you work your way up?

I felt like I was treated to a seminar. MM guy is very well versed.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

One Small Step for rAFC's

Whew! Had a fun night out. The girls on L.A.'s main entertainment strip are very hot, very numerous and much friendlier than I had expected. Number closed three times. Grabbed a 5' tall blonde with a cowgirl hat crotch to crotch, picked her up ("you're only five feet tall?! How much do you weigh!) and she loved it. A drunk eighteen year old stares at me, introduces herself and grabs me. She's about 5' 9", very thin, pretty brunette. First, she stares at me. Then she walks over to me. She gets directly in my face and wraps her arm around my waist. She puts her face to my ear:

Her: "Hiiii, my name is Niiina. What's youuur name?"

Me: I'm leaning back a little, then leaning back in. I'm not ready for instant kino: "Allan."

Her: (Whispering breathily in my ear): "Allan? That's a beauuuuuutiful name. That's my friend (such and such; an 18 year old Sarah Jessica Parker look a like I number close a little later). Isn't she beauuuutiful?" She remains standing there, not saying or doing anything. In retrospect, she wants a kiss/makeout/fyck. I'm caught off guard and do nothing. There's just a gaggle of HB's, guys ****blocking and I don't make a move. Nina moves on. I love drunk girls.

Number closed an HB8 Korean girl (21 yrs old). Number closed the HB7 18 yr old Sarah Jessica Parker look alike. Number closed her 18 yr old HB8 friend (just turned 18 that night! Damm! And she was looking to get wasted), then deleted her number accidentally. Complete insanity. Two guys in their early twenties try to ****block me from the 18 yr olds (there were at least six or seven of the young girls) after they got blown out ("who are those guys?" I ask the birthday girl and the Sarah Jessica Parker look a like. "I have no idea" both of them say). Opened a set every few minutes.

I open a blonde HB9 and brunette HB8.5 at the Hotttest Club in Town. The blonde's a French Canadian. The other's an American girl. I run out of conversational material. They're a lot friendlier than I expected them to be. They smile, make great eye contact, lean in, and game me pretty well. I stall, they leave. I open a HB7 blonde with glasses on a couch. Some guy in his mid forties just stares at me the whole time. I keep opening. I try to number close a hostess at an Asian Restaurant. She has a boyfriend. A fistfight breaks out at this place. This place is ghetto as hell, but my wings are gaming a couple of fat chicks and won't leave.

No canned openers for me. No lines. No stories. It's all ad lib. I keep it simple: I ask them about work, where they live, what they like to do. Simple. I just keep it flowing. If I run out of things to ask or say, I just stop talking. If she's into you, the girl will pick up the conversation, trust me. I tell an occasional joke. I make good eye contact, but look around a lot too, so it doesn't get one dimensional and creepy. I don't lean in anymore. I let them lean in. It's all basic. I don't think any workshops are necessary. You open sets, succeed in many sets and don't succeed in others.

One thing is, I try to stress to my wings to have an after hours venue change at someone's place to fyck close. My wings are not allowing me to remain in set long enough for me to get around to that;they insist on leaving even when I am in the middle of sets. They diss me while I am in set ("gawwwd, hey, go get a room!") one wing says to me as I'm grabbing the 5' blonde. Embarrassing and distracting. They AMOG me while I am in set (when I talked to the Miyagi's hostess for example). They're cool for the most part though, and I let it go.

Oddly, I didn't even think I would go out tonight. I had a caffeine blast Thursday night and I didn' even get any sleep. I thought I would be too tired to go out. I'm glad I went out. Always go out. Even if you're alone, go out.

I got blown out earlier in the day. I open a '6' readhead in a coffeeshop. "You're too late fo breakfast," I tell her (it's noon). She doesn't like it. "Well then what are you doing here?" The thing is, I don't take any of this personally. Basically, I shouldn't neg a six, especially as an opener during the day. If I had gotten discouraged, I woulda been sitting on my ass at home tonight.

Later,

Adamm

PS: I don't understand why I'm getting crazy IOI's, getting girls to approach me, number closing and remaining in set a long time when none of this was happening just a week ago. It's still me, but the girls seem twenty times friendlier. This is my first 'successful' night outing.

I've gotten rejected for two numbers, gotten three numbers and lost one of the three because I didn't enter it correctly lol.

I run day game with three wings today. I get my fourth number close in two days (in fourteen hours actually). I date closed her actually. Target is a HB7 Asian girl, early twenties. She's handing out fliers for movie passes. Her pass is good for two people. Basically, the more people show up to the movie, the more money she makes. I tell her, I'll take your movie pass, but only if you agree to go to the movie with me. She says she can't go to the same movie she's handing out a pass for, or she'll get in trouble. I say that I have a SECOND pass for a movie she's NOT promoting. I'll take her pass, if she agrees to go to the OTHER movie I have a pass for. She agrees. I number close her, verify the number by calling her, and tell her I'll call her for MY movie pass, not hers. Three minute number/date close.

I'm beat right now, I'll write up the rest later when I have a chance. Hopefully, my day twos will jump off without a hitch.
