So I was at work, and one of the countless renditions of "Sleigh Ride" was playing on the satellite radio. I walk over to grab a bite to eat at a nearby restaurant during break, and I hear another rendition of "Sleigh Ride" within a five minute period. All throughout the day, i'm being bombarded with this crap, all these different renditions of the same crappy songs. I work in a mall so it's especially bad.

Sorry, I just had to vent. I'm an easy going guy and almost nothing gets to me, but for some reason being subjected to this **** all over the place, and over and over again is driving me insane.

Christmas is turning not into a holy season, but a commerical season. You have to stay on top of it. Remember WHY your celebrating.

Its not much better as a religous festival either.

I say, screw religous witch burning and screw Hallmark, Christmas is an excuse to get drunk and have lots of sex!

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Christmas is the only thing that makes winter a worthwhile season to begin with.

Helps break the monotony of being stuck inside because it's so damned cold outside.

I myself hate christmas and most things associated with it. It seems that each year the stores and merchant decide to start saying christmas-like stuff one week earlier, so in a few years you'll be compelled to put up a christmas three in september.
The whole santas everywhere, lights everywhere, christmas sales, christmas discounts, commercials involving christmas is sickening. To the majority of the world christmas is nothing more but a chance to give material goods either because they feel obligated to do so or to raise their personal reputation amongst other people. Oh and a chance to receive material goods. And make money off people buying material goods for other people.
Okay, I understand that christians want to celebrate the birth of their prophet and I have no problem with that, but I really don't like being bombarded with christmas by the media and the rest of the world for two whole months. Christmas is now a cherade. I hope santa dies.

Right on Panda! There is a radio station where I live that has switched to all Christmas music until Christmas, and they made the switch on November 15th. 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.

Christmas really does bring out the best in people. The traffic jams and road rage, the fighting at shopping malls, the show of greed, the inconsideration of others. What a beautiful holiday.
Then again to some, all the above examples could be just another day.

I'm sick of the over commercialisation of christmas, it would be better if you only started hearing about christmas in december not in october or ****ing september!

i hear you man. I hate it how stores get ready for christmas and they play christmas music over and over. it hynotises people into "buying mode" on purpose. crazed shoppers. Itry to avoid all stores at christmas for that reason. Unfortunatly i work at one...

Yeah. I love Christmas and all, but I agree, they really overdo the "Christmas Music" and whatnot. At least wait until December starts... And then there's the day-after-Thanksgivinig sales when people start Christmas shopping... HA! stores opening at 5 am?! That's ridiculous. And then there's the people with enough lights to land an airplane. Nothing against decorations or anything, it's just that it really sucks when people overdo them...and don't take them down until about April

Haha,I thought I was the only one getting sick of
x-mas music:D
I guess not~

Consumerism eh?
you could make crafts and make your own cards
instead of buying into it.

I like the card that said:
"Moneys short and time is hard,Heres your F-ckin cristmas card"...

I mute my radio/tv when they play x-mas crap.

Hail Scrooge! j/k
