I hate everything about Nyquist. I hate his jockey. I hate his pedigree. I hate the way he's put together. I hate his trainer. I hate his owner. I hate the race he ran in last.
Dammit if Nyquist beats me, he just beats me. I don't like him at all. he's talented. he can very well do that. i just am not going to wager on him. I watch his jockey who is a third tier jockey out here on a good day, blow race after race day in and out, i'm not going to wager on him int he biggest race in the world.
I have no real clue honestly this isn't a good croup of horses and there is no clear cut 2nd choice. If this were any race other than the derby i wouldn't wager, but because it is, i'm going to wager on mohaymen. he's only lost once, to Nyquist, last race and he's 12 to 1. i like his pedigree as well.
I'm not extremely confident in that pick but that's the best value in the race.
