"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I've seen some horrible advice on this board but your advice has to rank in the Bottom 10. You don't truly know a person unless you've lived with them. I've spent over a year waking up with my girlfriend, going to sleep with her, dealing with her while on her period, while she was sick, while she was moody and just about every other possible scenario. And likewise, she's seen me in my many different stages and moods.

Getting married without living together first is an awful idea.
Congrats xblitz!
Thought I'd pop my head in and I stumble across this!
Of course I can't resist offering my two cents along with hearty congratulations at having found someone you consider worth marrying.

That peculiar, seemingly counter-intuitive statistic about marriages lasting longer among people who did NOT live together is actually true, BUT... you do have the power to overcome that statistic if you understand the reason for it.

When two people get married without having lived together that reflects a high level of committment to making the marriage work (by adjusting and growing as a person)--regardless of any minor incompatibilities that emerge after you start living together.

When you know exactly what you're getting and you think, "ok, that's perfect, I'll sign on for THAT" it simply doesn't demand the same level of commitment. That doesn't mean you CAN'T have a high level of commitment, there's just no assurance that you do. In a way you haven't been tested for it--yet.

The big surprise to come is that even though you know exactly what it's like to live with her, it is human nature for both of you to gradually change. You have not yet lived with the woman whom she will BECOME. Similarly, she hasn't yet lived with the man whom YOU will become. And THAT is where a high level of committment will be needed for the marriage to last.

Since you aren't tested for a high level of commitment when you've lived together and both know exactly what you are getting, the question after you get married will be whether or not you and she can bring forth the level of committment needed to make the marriage work LATER ON--when you're both wondering how your spouse changed so much! An inspiring movie dealing with some of these issues is, "The Story of Us" starring Bruce Willis and Michelle Pfeiffer. All that said, CONGRATULATIONS!

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Huge congrats blitz. Youve done nothing but talk rational sense and railed against the blinkered, self-defeating misogynism on this board since you joined, so its no suprise you found the right one.

Best of luck with it.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
