"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I have a friend, shes cute but kind of uhmm, low self esteem, and she kinda looks down on herself, no clue why.

Thing is, I kind of want to ask her out on a date, for experience purposes since i've never been on a date with a girl before(not including school dances and stuff)

I'm planning to just take her to jamba juice or starbucks or something, and i'm not scared of asking her out(or any girl for that matter), but i'm kind of worried that the date will just be awkward and quiet and stuff. If this was a girl i didn't know i wouldn't really care, but shes a friend and it would just be so weird if we had an awkward date and then i see her pass by at school. i don't know, thoughts?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

If she is your friend then you've obviously been able to maintain conversations with her casually; why do you think it would be any different on a date?

Talking online is a crutch. Here is my advice:
-Until you can easily make her laugh in real life, don't ask her out
-When you do "ask her out," don't really. Instead, just make it seem like it is out of convince. If you have a class together for example say "I'm hungry. Let’s go get something to eat." Don't ask her, tell her. Or, say "I need a coffee, lets go get one." Remember, make it about you, you could care less if she is hungry or if she needs a coffee.

Last, you said this girl has low self esteem. This means that you could make every mistake in the world with this girl, and she will still think of you as the same. There really are no mistakes you can make with a girl with low self esteem.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I'm not really worried about how i'll ask her or being funny for a while(i can make her laugh) i just don't know how long i can keep it up.

Yeah even if she still thinks of me the same, it will still be awkward if things get quiet, and awkward situations suck

Keep it up as long as you can, and then leave. It will be a good start even if it is brief.
