"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Not directly as a dating tool, but as something to expand social circle, try new things, etc?

I live in a big city and came across a bunch of meetup groups hosting events that appeal to me, but when I look at photo albums on the group pages it kind of looks like exactly what I figured these things might be: an island of misfit toys. The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Every man is using meetup.com to get an advantage of finding women. Coming from someone who has gotten quite a few dates from Meetup events, my best advice is to be friendly. Be friendly with everyone and establish that rapport with the organizers and prominent members. Once you have done that, it is VERY easy for you to hit on the "new-in-towners." However, you must continue that friendly attitude when hitting on them, as well. Simply, being a social magnet, you are a wolf in sheep's costume.

It's like those swingers clubs. At first you think it's a great idea, then you see the members. Jeezy Creezy!
