Just curious. I'm a salaried supervisor myself. The biggest issue with the field is lack of upward mobility. The best way is to upgrade your skills outside of work and hop. Anyone else notice this?
 

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.
