I am very good looking, even my dental hygienist (who has to be like 35) Was hitting on me. Even after she cleaned my teeth, and walked me over to set up my next appt. she was kinda doing kino. The word "cougar" is definitely made up in Hollywood, no question about it. Some executive was doing a show, and he wanted a word that made old women seem sexy, because he figured there was a market for that. Put Jane Seymour and Teri Hatcher on screen with young men, hey, bound to be an audience - but we need a context for the viewers to feel it is okay to watch without being embarrassed, right? So "cougar" makes it a "thing". Amazing how easily we accept things without thinking twice.

Are old women sexy? I'll say two words: saggy breasts. They don't have it, there might still be a chance. They have it, deal is off. I mean, ugh. Could you stand looking at yourself in the mirror afterward?

Plus, the face grows longer the more we age. Women turn horse-faced. Their voices turn more masculine. They have less estrogen in their body, becoming less feminine overall. And ... wrinkles. Loose throat skin. Big chins, big ears, big noses. (Ears, chins and noses grow with age, which is why we instinctively think a small nose, etc is cute.)

Also, what kind of woman would sign up for a website where she is called a "cougar"? And what kind of woman is unmarried after forty? Think about that.

I am sure they all think themselves sexy enough to go after the young'uns - most people think that about themselves. You stand in front of the mirror and give every little flaw an excuse day after day, it won't take long to ignore them. On another dating website, where people could rate their own level of attractiveness, I saw ugly, unsexy 40-something women rate themselves as "attractive" and even "very attractive". If you ever go out with them, you will be disappointed. At yourself. At least afterward, when the deed is done, the tension is relieved and you can think clearly again.
