"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

Life was a hell of a lot simpler before you hit puberty wasn't it? Back then, the only thing that was on your mind was your friends, cartoons, and of course... the good old jungle gym. What you walked out of the house looking like, women, popularity... none of that mattered to you when you were younger. But then what happened? You got a little bit taller, a little dirt on your chin, and your voice gets a bit deeper. Suddenly, you start paying attention to that pimple on your face. You start noticing the girl in your Sequential Math class... having friends means everything to do. It appears that the onset of puberty brings on a multitude of things that alter your life significantly.

I said all of that to say this: I cannot tell you not to care about having friends, or girls, or what to wear because you do... I do... everyone does. What I do want you to understand however, is that caring about these things are not the worst thing in the world... in fact, I encourage you to. As long you understand one thing... that fashion, women, or popularity is not the end all be all. With that in mind, I will leave you with some important things to remember:

1. Life is a game... a game comprised of many games. I understand that many of you are unwilling to accept such a pragmatic approach to life and that is completely fine with me. The God that you believe (and that I believe in) did not create fate, or chance... but He did create reason. Absolutely everything happens for a reason, so in order to get what you want out of life expect that will have to work for it. If you want that girl, those friends, that job, those clothes... be prepared to work your ass off for it. It will not just come to you.

2. This applies to women as well. In spite of what they may tell you, women have and always will be the biggest player(s) of the game (of life). Do not be silly into tricking yourself to believe that you are above the "games". You are not, I am not, and no one else is. Pretending that you are will more than likely leave you alone. Assuming that this girl is special and that she is above the "game" is something that you should never do. Granted, some people play a hell of a lot harder than others, but everyone plays... so get out there.

3. If you wish to be better than everyone else... you have to act like it. While I do not encourage you being a cold stoic, understand that you should have control of yourself and your emotions virtually all of the time. There are plenty of other ways to achieve your goal or express yourself without losing your cool. Remember that things like anger only harbors your decision making... not improve it. So keep your cool...

Until next time...

Anyone who has read my post/question "anyone confident in their abilities... please take a look at this" should re-read this. If I would have been the confident, charismatic, charming man I always am around this girl - she would be here, on my couch, wrapped in a blanket with me right now. But I am online with you guys because I thought she was different. No matter how unique a woman, she is still a woman - treat her accordingly.

That's hard medicine to swallow. Life has no predjuice...it has no respect of person. It's an equal oppurtunity employer...
