I had an old thread that I posted at the beginning of the summer about changes I wanted to make over the summer. Although I didn't complete them I definately improved upon pretty much every aspect of my life.

Here is that thread.

My old flaws.....

-I don't eat right.
-I'm extremely lazy.
-Smart, but I don't apply myself enough.
-I don't really have any goals in life.
-I'm extremely shy.
-I'm not in good shape.
-I'm a pushover.
-I don't have a job.

Those are all a thing of the past except a few. I've changed my eating habits and I've lost over 35 pounds. I play on my schools golf team and walk around 4-5 miles a day, and I swim around50 laps in my pool a day. I've drastically improved my school work (we started before labor day, one of the few schools) and I've got an A in every class at the moment and I am in a few AP classes.

I've gotten some goals, from getting a job, to graduating HS, to getting into a good 4 year university. I'm still a little shy, but I have definately improved my social circle and I have been talking to a few girls lately. I'm not in good shape yet, but I am in a lot better shape than I was. I plan to stay in shape over the winter and continue losing weight.

I don't let anyone knock me down anymore, nobody can push me over and I stand up for myself.

The only thing that I really haven't completed is getting a job, but I am too busy to get one anyway. School starts at 7:30am and gets out at 2:10PM. Golf practice starts at 2:45pm and gets out at 7:00pm. I then do some homework, shower and hit the sack.

Anyway, I still have a few flaws which include.....

No job.
Still not in the shape I want to be in.
Still spend a lot of time on the computer.
I need nicer clothes on a cheap budget.
I need to do something with my hair.
And, I'm still nervous around some girls and other people.

So, this will be updated regularly with some updates and progress about myself.

My question to you is...

Where can I get some nice clothes for cheap? (I'm going for the jock look, I've got a lot of it down just need more variety.)

What should I do with my hair? It's brown, and relatively long. (I can see my bangs with my eyes, and it's in my ears. What kind of style should I go for?

What other activites that don't take a lot of time (like going to the gym) can I use to improve upon my appearance? I want to lose more weight and gain a little muscle without giving up an hour daily. I don't have the time and the gym closes at 6. So I can't get into it.

Again, I'll update this as time goes on and hopefully I can get a few tips.

The jock look? Go to one of the cheapo stores and buy a few wife beaters and white tshirts, buy some fitness pants, whatever.

If I were you, i'd drop the golf team and get a job, that way you can have some cash to take girls out, hit the gym up after school, and be able to buy some actual nice clothes. Cash flow is very important in changing your appearance. Another thing, doesn't your school have a weight room or a weight training class, drop one of your classes and take it.

Dropping the golf team gives you an extra 5 hours per day, what grade are you in...if your passionate about golf just practice on your own every once in awhile and join the team next year.

Dropping golf is the last thing I'll do. I'm a senior and we have a good chance to win the regionals and maybe states.

It ends in mid october anyway.

Golf man? Dude unless you're gonna try to go pro, don't waste your time. It's a weekend hobby for relaxing, not something I'd take seriously unless it's what you want to do with your life.

Work one or two nights a week and buy some shirts from Hollister if you want that look. They're decently cheap. Clean out your closet and ditch EVERYTHING from more than two years ago, clothes too big or too small, and those gay tshirts you wear that say "GOLF-A-POLOOZA '06". Only exceptions are event shirts that are actually funny, I dunno like "I got blown in the windy city, Detroit, MI". Haha.

Keep your hair SHORT, face shaven. Stay clean cut with a haircut a least once every three weeks and maybe a month. Seriously, the only guys that get women with long hair are guys in a band (or something that makes them desireable, football/rich/etc.) or ones with VERY attractive facial features. Product is optional, but you have to realize the look it gives off. Preppy, trendy, and a lot of guys that use it are POPTARTS (hard on outside and soft in the middle). So you have to be careful how you dress and who you hang around when using it.

No time for the gym?? MAKE TIME!!!!

Fawking get off the computer, unless you're blowing time before your next activity or improving yourself in some way. When I used to use the computer all the time in middle school I found it lured me into masterbation more anyway.

With women... all I can say is you have to want it man. I personally have a problem with putting my ego aside, so I won't be a hypocrite. FEAR SHOULD NEVER BE A PROBLEM. Stick yourself in the gut and have some balls. Are you a man or a master-masterbater????

Golf is not a weekend hobby for me. I enjoy playing it and I have put a lot of money into it and I am not going to quit, I don't care what you think of it nor do I want your opinion on it. It's in the bible that you don't have to drop your personal tastes such as music and sports to make everyone else happy. Besides, the bible also states that you need a hobby.

Anyway, it ends in about a month....

I don't have any shirts that say golf a pooloza on them. The only shirt I wear is one that has a flag stick and says "Let's play around!" Except my golf uniform, which I wear to golf matches. So, I don't look stupid.

But, I appreciate the stuff about the hair. I need to find a style to get, but I don't really have an idea.
