"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Weed actually gets me paranoid. Trust me, if I could be a "pot head" rather than an "alcoholic" I would be, but it seems to effect me differently. Heard many people say that it's normal, you just gotta do it more, it will pass, and I did. It's not like I've only smoked once or twice, I've tried it a lot. Sometimes I had a good high, but a large majority of the time I felt sick, weird, paranoid, and thought I was going to die. Now it's something I avoid completely. I know plenty of people that smoke, but when the pipe is passed to me I simply say "no thanks". Perhaps it's my genetic and chemical make-up, don't know. I just never enjoyed marijuana. Not to say that I don't think it should be legal, I think it should be. But it's not for me. It's funny though because I've tried a lot of hard drugs (pcp, mushrooms, coke etc..) but weed gets me paranoid far more than any of those. All my friends thought it was weird, I think it is too. Back when I was doing drugs, coke was my favorite. Maybe I just like uppers rather than downers (weed)? One of the reasons why I will never do meth.. I know I'd be addicted in a second, not worth it to me.

Well maybe something bad happened to you as a kid and that's why you get paranoid like that. I get a little paranoid but it passes.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

The only thing I can think of is when I "accidentally" smoked pcp. That was my first time trying it actually. Thought I was smoking weed, then noticed it tasted funny and effected me different. Then the guy who handed me the pipe said "Have you ever smoked pcp before?" I said no, "well you just have" he said. Tripped me out, but I actually enjoyed it bit. Not going to lie though, I was scared. Maybe it has part to do with it. Me and a buddy both got tricked, and we ended up walking to the river, then walked back to the house, then I had my mom come pick me up. Somehow, I kept my cool the whole time, even though I felt like my heart was going to explode. Spent the rest of the whole afternoon pacing around my room/house, without trying to make it obvious. I think that's when everything started, as far as weed goes.
