Air Force one

Alright this thread is obviously gonna get moved, but I at least wanted it to get seen.

Has anyone here been in the military, especially the Air Force? What are the pros and cons? Would you make the same decision?

I'm considering going into the Air Force as a Commisioned officer because I just graduated outta college. Any (experienced) input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I see you are in the Midwest. Are you considering working in Dayton, OH at Wright Patterson? I was an engineer and considered a job there at one point. Actually got a different offer before I heard back from them.

It's not a bad deal but they pay a bit less than industry in general. But counter that with the 20 years and out and the knowledge you can get another job and double dip (I knew of many people who did that because they worked at an automotive company with me).

I'd prefer to live elsewhere than Dayton though. I'd see if I could go to one of their bases in another state like California.

In a year or less a war with Iran/China/North Korea/Russia will be instigated via nuclear explosion on U.S. soil, east coast. 2009 Tonkin bay deal. So you'll be in combat, or at least training for it.

Hundreds of millions freedom fighters will pounce on government and military, trying to take over. So you just might be dropping bombs, if that's what you after, on your own people. On the other hand you might get your head cut off, if people's force is strong enough.
