Colonialist nations try to go in and set up systems that benefit everyone, and the locals get jealous and kill each other. Then the colonialists (white people) get blamed. I could have told you that, they hold the largest poppy fields in the world also. China use poppy for their religion that's why America is fighting in Afghanistan to hold leverage over china.

Africa is has an even larger resource then Afghanistan, a lot of resources only come out from Africa, this is the reason propaganda is being used to go over there also.

Perhaps the colonialists decide that they should keep 95% of the bounty and the locals scramble over the remaining 5%. That is not the particular way of any nation, culture or group of people. If the boot was on the other foot, if the Afghanis were to goto America, they'd behave no different. Its the way of humans, out just to look after himself.
