"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Hello Gentlemen

Just looking for a bit of advice on how to peruse this one chick I am trying to had to my stable.

History : She is one of my best friends sisters best friends , seen her a couple times at parties at their house and introduced myself but I had a my ex with me (ex is smoking hot) , so nothing really went past simple conversation with her and she also had a boyfriend at the time but was never present at these social functions.

So... the other night Im heading to a bar (downtown Toronto) with some good friends of mine and i see her with her friends. She picks me out and says "Hey, (my name) right ?.. whats up? " she was pretty wasted as she attended a local beer fest that day. I could not remember her name so i was like "whats up! im sorry what was your name again" told me her name and we made a bit of flirty small talk and both went separate ways...

I ended up adding her to facebook the next couple of days as she is always on my people you might know feed thingy, and shot her a msg saying something like " Hey hope you made it home safe ,you could barely see straight last night haah " she replied and we had a little fb chat , i tried to keep it short and to the point , i didn't respond to her last msg and msged her a day later saying " sorry to cut our convo short it was really nice seeing you , we should grab drinks soon ;)" she replied " nice seeing you to ya sounds great " . so i asked her for her number and she gave me it. After some creeping i also realized she was recently single ;)

About a week later (yesterday) I txt msged her saying she should come to a local restaurant that is having a patio party tonight and we could grab a drink she shot me a txt back saying she was having dinner her friend t and said she would like to come but needs to convince her friend after dinner as she didnt want to ditch her .so i called her around 10pm but she didn't pick up , shot me a txt back about 40 min later saying sorry she couldn't pick up as she was at dinner with her friend whats up? I told her "your the worst ;) im just arriving to the patio party" and... she replied " this old lady is already in bed hahhaha and i am the worst ;( " I replied about 30 min later in a drunken state saying " rain check?" she replies " lol sure , have a great night"

... and this is where im left..... shes quiet, cute and good looking , really nice person and well mannered . My friends sis did tell me she just got out of a relationship and is not looking for anything... how do i play this one ?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Seems like youre doing fine so far whats the problem? Dont overthink it, whatever you are doing should be light and fun, and if she comes along coo, if not whatever move on. I think you came on a little too strong with calling her and all that about the patio party thing (if she had ended up wanting to go she wouldve reached out, you calling and asking again looks like shes your only option) but ur still in good shape.

Wait a bit and try again, maybe make it a bit more definitive with more notice this time.

Thanks for the reply Jurry , guess i am over thinking it . Im going to wait about a week and maybe try txting her and asking her out again. I feel like the "lets get a drink" line is so damn cliche...
any thoughts or tips when contacting her again?

Not bad, keep trying and push for that date. If she denies you 2 more times, forget it, then let her do the leg work. For now, ask again. Good luck.

Instead of "let's get a drink" try "I want to go to xxx this Friday at 10pm, are you free?". I think it sounds stronger and assumes she wants to go.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
