Hi everyone, once again here to ask for your wise advice. There is this girl who I met years ago, she came to visit common acquaintances and when we met the tension was quite palpable all the time but really led to nothing due to the few chances of being just the two of us, it just ended with her giving me this weird passionate hug, hopping on the car and never looking back. Friends did notice and would bug me about her from time to time asking if I ever tried to contact her, to which I've never seen a point to that since we live in two different continents, I have no prospects of going there if not for her and our only bridge of communication would be social media and I don't see myself entertaining long online chats that lead to nothing in person. So skip two years to now and she pops in my feeds for a happy birthday, I heard she is single now and probably fishing, so I decided to throw the pebble in the pond to see if it makes any ripples. I replied to her in a way of not being too intrusive while stating that I hope we could meet again someday, annnddd nope she just ignored it altogether. Was my approach too vague and wrong? Or just nothing left to be had there?
