I am not religious in any way, but this man touches on interesting topics. I think an intelligent person with a big picture view could fairly easily come up with predictions like this. Things like this were already in play in 1965, its not like he was reading a crystal ball.
Personally, I don't believe this is the devils work, but I do think there always efforts from world powers to keep their populations in check. This has been done with brute force, misinformation and many other forms of manipulation.
There is always an effort of divide and conquer to keep the lower classes preoccupied while the ruling classes keep ruling. (democrats vs. republicans, religions vs. other religions etc.)
This stuff is as old as time, and it will never stop.
