I invited this girl over to my house and she said she would call me after her play, but she didn't, and today she told me she simply forgot. "It's not that I didn't want too, I just forgot. We were busy and then when we were done it was too late to call"... Something like that. How should I react about that?

So far all I did is brushed it off and acted like I didn't really care, and immediatly stopped talking to her after...

This is girl speak for, "I found something that stimulated my brain to a higher degree as compared to you, but I feel sorry for you for neglecting you and I dont want to hurt your feelings, so I will just sugar-coat what I say. After I was done with the fun I forget all about you and fell asleep".

Just being brutally honest.

I think how you should react is to treat her exactley the same, say you'll call her and say exactley what she said to you. I think she will get the hint that she offended you.

Its good that you acted like you didn't care......but dont cut her off, keep talking to her but since she offended you just keep it mundane and generic like..."How was your day" type of talk....

This is where I have problems with these "tactics"... Until when should I act like that? (mundane and generic). Do I do it for a certain period of time, or until she realises that it offended me?

More specifically, if she was interested in getting together with him she would have told him what time she'd be at his house, period. This sitting around waiting for a phonecall at no known time is the sign of low interest level on her part and high AFC level on the guy's part. Stop wasting effort on how to recover from situations like this by not getting into them in the first place.

I'd just leave her alone until she tried to start something with me. If a girl is really interested in you, then she'll make up for it by asking you when are we gonna hang out? When are you gonna call me? etc.

Basically, if she's not interested, she's gonna do the least she possibly can, aka give you her phone number and make up excuse after excuse until you get the hint or lose interest. But if she really does care about you, then she'll prove it by being the one to set up a date or something, try to get with you you know?

Well make her follow through on it. Put the ball in her court. If she asks you if you want to hang out...tell her yes, but since she cancelled on you last time, that she has to make it up to you, she has to plan the date and she has to come pick you up. Check mate...this shows where her true intentions are, either she wants to go out with you or she doesn't. There's no way she can tip toe around that. While you're waiting for her to decide, you just keep it up with other chicks and keep them in reserve.
