Like I said in the original post, a better dating/sex life was a major reason I made the move but it wasn't the only reason. There are many cultural reasons as well. I wanted to connect with a different culture, establish different connections, learn a new language etc. But this is a forum about dating/sex so of course I emphasized that portion of the reasoning.
I find it disrespectful, cynical and overly reductive to look at moves like this as purely transactional and materialistic. The reality is that attraction is often spiked by adventure, differences between cultures, heightened experience that comes with travel, etc. This is a very exciting time in my life as I have left the dreary big American cities.
It's amazing to walk around and see new interesting architecture, connect with a history that is interesting and old, to see different cultures/ethnicities walking around. To hear different languages. For the city to be walkable. For the girls not to have hard faces of indifference towards the men. Even the local guys meet more women here and have better chances than the US local dudes have with their locals. I see it all the time. Local men who aren't rich or fancy just walking around hand-in-hand with beautiful women.
I feel like love is just generally more in the air here.
