My guess is this invention had the single greatest impact on Intersexual relations. In the US, it was approved by the FDA in 1960, and then everything else like no fault divorce, Abortion Laws, Child Custody Laws, Welfare Laws, Fiat Currency, Credit extension to unmarried women, declining marriage and birth rates all happened afterwards.

I'm sure there are other factors, but I believe that had the largest single impact on Male-Female relations until the Internet came along. And the Internet is a whole other story.

One major impact of hormonal BC is that it makes women prefer more feminine guys. Hormonal BC basically works by tricking the body into thinking it's pregnant. It's well known that preggo women want those soft/safe "provider" type men to take care of their kids, they are NOT into masculine guys. The implications of this are pretty far reaching when you examine it, and there are many stories you can find about women who got on/off BC and found their BF/husband unattractive. Although I don't think this is an exact science or anything, and is probably individualistc, but on the whole I find it fascinating.

As I've gotten older, i've noticed that the majority of women I bang are not on hormonal BC, which to me indicates I am attracting the right type of women, which is encouraging.

It's interesting because I've never paid attention to it with a girl I'm seeing, but I've read about it a lot and basically came to the same conclusions you did. It's something I'm going to start paying attention to more often with other girls I see.
