But here's the thing: Black men (unlike other races) have a niche problem. As a white guy you can be a ; geeky/ nerdy, surfer/ stoner, trust fund finance guy, Arnold swarz, skater hiphopper, fat ,skinny, broke, short.

Dating is market segmentation. Those white guys are matching with white women who want that type. The problem is that your average non-"street" Black guy keeps pursuing women who are specifically looking for the stereotype, instead of finding the ones looking for him. If he chooses to be a nerd or cornball then that's his consequence to accept because there's not a great demand for those types of men with women. My brotha in Christ, most people are trash, so being trash is going to have a larger market than being quality. Your prison/bum is going to have more women to choose from because there are a lot of bum women out there.

As embarrassing as it is, for a long time I choose the streetguy route. I lost tons and tons of time and opportunities due to this. Nowadays, as you know, I'm overcompensating and work non stop. Trying to be a good father and break the vicious circle where I can.

And to end with a positive note: turns out the streetguy persona was unnecessary as I get so much more game now I'm doing positive shyte! Im just focused and happy!

Speaking of prison, a friend who was once locked up told me, if you have ever dated outside your own race or have any interest in doing so in the future and you find yourself incarcerated, shut the fvck up about it. I'm Black, but I grew up in basically the opposite situation. My issue was confidence, because white society only valued entertainers or Herschel Walker types. Outside of those narrow lanes, you're Black before anything else, regardless of your skills, hobbies, or interests. The white women who did date Black men usually went for the stereotypical "cool" guys society had already pre-approved.
Once I got out of that environment and grew more comfortable with myself, my confidence came back, and I started seeing consistent success with women instead of the king-or-peasant cycle. I probably would've had even more success if I'd adopted the street guy persona, but that's not me, and I'm glad I stuck to who I actually am. I know this is a dating site, but we need to really stop putting pvssy on a pedestal and practice self-constraint sometimes.

That's really nice to hear.

And okay, let's give the street persona a little bit of credit; there's something to be said about the tough( er) characteristic, about standing up straight and carrying oneself with confidence.

Where black men can definitely WIN is when they start combining shyte; take the best aspect from all other cultures/ races and apply then to your own persona. Like you say, the world will see what is will see at first glance and judge a man by that obviously. But as soon as you show you are WAY more than " just another one who lingers at the bottom of society " you'll actually gain admiration . It's like a life hack.

Imo this site has evolved into more than just a site about dating on a surface level. At some point a man starts to understand that women are not the end all be all in life.
