    I've heard it said that that sort of thing can be caused by gummed up digestive tract, and taken care of by those colon cleansing methods (waxy maize, etc.) I don't know anything first hand though, including whether or not there's any truth to the above mentioned stuff.

    Don't starve yourself of carbs, but try to keep them low GI. 100% Whole Wheat Bread (watch out for some 100% WW breads with High Fructose Corn Syrup), Oatmeal (not instant), brown rice, yams, etc. With the exception of the veggies, nix the carbs in the last 4 or so hours before bed.
