Stats:

Age: 18 yrs. old.
Height: 6'0.
Weight: ~185 lbs.
Bf: 15-20% (Estimate)

Program:

Currently following a three day split on Mon., Wed., and Friday.

Alternating excercises at the moment as per WBA's instructions. As of now, there is no "routine" that is set in stone.

Will update when there is a solid, stable routine.

Lifts:

Will eventually update maxes here.

Goals:

Ideally, I'd like to gain as much muscle as possible in two to three months in preperation for rugby season. However, I'm seriously considering putting off rugby for this year and training until next September in order to put on as much weight as I want.

Eventually, I'd like to be around 215 lbs. at 10-12% bodyfat.

Diet:

Getting my diet in order gradually. Is tough but alot easier when I cook for the entire week. I eat a ton of veggies. Love them. This is what my diet looks like right now...

Meal 1: 7:30 a.m.

Shake -

Three whole eggs (raw)
1.5 scoops whey
100 g oatmeal
Apple

(Fish oil and multivitamin)

Meal 2: 11:00 a.m.

Spaghetti -

250g beef

(Fish oil)

Meal 3: 2:00 p.m.

Two sandwhiches on whole grain wheat -

250g (combined) ham/turkey/roastbeef
Little mustard/mayo
Apple

Meal 4: 5:00 p.m.

Pure boringness -

200g ground beef, liberally spiced.
Lots of veggies.
1 tsp OO

(Fish oil)

Meal 5: 7:00 p.m.

Pure boringness (II) -

200g ground beef, liberally spiced.
Lots and lots of veggies.
1 tsp OO

(Fish oil)

Meal 6: Throughout the day...

Shake:

Eight whole eggs (raw)
1 scoop whey
Small amount of heavy cream
Cinnamon

Overview:

Had a death in the family recently so have not been hitting the weights for a little while. Really looking forward to slipping back in and gaining some weight.

Going for strength. Eventually to the level of 300 press, 400 squat, 500 dl.

:)

Friday, October 26:

Paused box squats, up to 5 x 130 lbs., Wow. That's all I can say. I must have been doing quarter squats or something before. This felt amazing. Stacked a couple of plates and went all the way down. Feels like my hips are so amazingly weak. Looking forward to squatting like this from now on.

Rack pulls, 5 x 3 x 175 lbs. Still felt really weak on these. Probably due to my first time ever doing real squats. :p

Leg raises

Weighted abs

Overall, workout felt great. Pumped that I've finally felt how to truly squat low enough.

Hey buddy.

Good work, time will tell whether you get the results you want. Eat smart and train with a vengeance, and you'll get there. Stay motivated!

Added your journal to the crew.

cheers mate

Good to see you getting into it.

Just to be thorough, how far below parallel was the box for squats and how far below knee level were the rack pulls>?

Around 2-2.5" below the knees on the rack pulls.

As low as possible on the box squats. Think I had three plates, maybe four. Can't believe I can't remember. Will check today when I go to the gym.

Rack numbers are where they should be. Box is fine as well. Continue...:)

Oi. Start logging your offday cardio if you're doing it. if you're not doing it, do it!

Log everything, including diet deviations, cheat meals.. how sore you are, if you feel more energetic/lethargic than usual, etc.

Cardio is part of the puzzle and must be done.

If you'd prefer to email me that's fine but I think it's easier to put it all here.

I'm fine putting everything here...

My legs were sore after Friday's workout for two days. My chest is sore today from yesterday's workout.

I havn't really deviated from the diet besides to have coffee every now and then in the morning. I try my hardest to eat my meals on the clock. Figure I'll put all my work to waste if I deviate too much.

I feel energetic all the time. I play ultimate frisbee, football, or softball/baseball at least twice a week.

I usually walk at a moderate pace for about 30 minutes about 5:30 in the morning after eating an apple. I go to the gym around noon every day. Have access to the University gym so go there. Is amazingly busy at all times but noon.

Will try making this standard from now on. Will also try to be faster with it. Should do it at the end of the day instead of a few days later.

1. apples are not water-based fruit like citrus fruits are
2. I tried the fruit cardio and it didn't work as well as fasted cardio. BCAAs are best pre cardio, or whey
