Today I realized that I finally have to do something about my confidence and approach game. Ever since the school year started I haven't talked to any girls I don't know, since its so far out of my comfort zone.

Today I came in after school to take a physics test and in the room there was only me and this HB8.5. When I walked in she said that the teacher is gone and will be in shortly I also asked her if shes taking the same test as me and she said yes. At this point the conversation stopped and I decided to take a seat 2 desks away from her. After the test (we finished at the same time) she walked out and as I was walking out, she seemed to stall and look for something In her bag (IOI) as if she wanted me to approach. My AA got the best of me and I just walked away and didn't even ask her what she thought of the test.

This is just one of the numerous incidents where I was given something great but pussied out and achieved nothing.

I feel for you bro, I have a lot of these scenarios and they still get to me today.

This is the way I am going to start thinking about it from now on. I will PROBABLY BE DEAD IN 50 YEARS! I WILL BE OLD SOON! get a ****ing move on and enjoy life while young.

Don't think ahead. Just concentrate on getting up and taking that first step. The rest will follow.

Do a google search on cold reads and make a commitment to study and practice them every time you talk to a girl. You will make mistakes and will never be perfect, so learn to cut against the grain. It's all part of the fun.

A recent cold read I made was after a neg. I told a girl her boots didnt match her belt. She qualified herself by explaining the situation to me. I then told her she was brave and independent because she would make decisions despite others opinions.

You have to have the mindset that it's just practice and it doesn't mean much. You'll have thousands of approaches in your DJ life so have fun and approach often. If something embarrassing happens act like it didnt and learn from it.

When you focus on the moment, you feel this almost-pain in your stomach. Sort of like butterflies, but weaker/stronger depending on the situation. When you can really feel it, it's the most invigorating feeling in the world.

The advice on cold reads is good. I use cold reads a lot now, I learned about them before this site.
