Only Prescription Drugs, which he can then fukk over the American People with, and make the Drug Companies insanely rich. STREET PROSTITUTION can be likened to Back Alley Abortions, about a billion times more dangerous than a legal one done by an MD. Crime breeds crime, especially in the Federal Government.
Right. And drugs were intentionally injected into poor communities to keep the black man down. I've heard this all before. Multiple times from some people, e.g. Last Man Standing.

I'm not sure what you're point is. You agree with me that prostitution should remain illegal, but I'm making a poor comparison between hookers that cost $5 and $250 because the $5 hoes ain't as hot? Please clarify.

Coming from someone who can't figure out how to secure a discussion forum account I find this incredibly funny.
Oh, you weren't paying attention again? Now THAT'S funny. :p

No no. I have no problem securing my account. However, there's no way to stop my trolling roommate from logging onto SoSuave from the same IP address. Therefore, there is no way to differentiate between a legit poster and a troll. Understand now? I mean, it's not THAT complicated...I would hate to have to take the time to draw a picture considering my ASCII skills are mediocre at best, heh.

Um, not so much, but this does make your next comment all the more comedic:

I'm not sure it's sound you're wired on. You were banned for using the same router? Sounds like the right result for the wrong reason to me.

PS - Starbucks. Cheaper that the crack you're on and they have WiFi.

 You two baffle me with your hostility. Look. You both clearly feel very passionate about this issue, or you would not using the level of personal attacks or have the pervasive tone of exasperation in your posts. If you honestly cannot continue this debate in a civil manner, just let me know. Honestly. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or demeaning. If you cannot debate the issues without referring to posters with a different perspective as "morons", or using "crack" that's fine...I'll bow out.

HOWEVER, if you are ready to continue discussing this issue in a calm and thoughtful manner I am more than willing to share my perspective why I believe that prostitution is outlawed and why it should stay that way. If you aren't interested, then we can both leave the thread considering that the only participants of this thread are with you...the U.S. government and the majority of the rest of the world has it all wrong: everyone would be much better off with the legalization of paying for sex. I'll go back to playing the piano and you can go back to insinuating that you have a large sex organ with your user name. Everyone wins. ;)

Ok, bad joke. But seriously. I think we should decide if this debate can continue with everyone respecting each other's points of view or not.

What BS, you're the one that repeatedly labels your opinion as proven fact, creates strawmen arguments out of what others said then attack it, and was the one to first getting insulting and condescending with me and probably with most other posters. You do this and you think people shouldn't question your reasoning ability, and you want to cry people are using personal insults? And no one wants to have a debate with someone that repeatedly uses false analogies, false comparisons, strawman arguments, selectively replies to other people's points, and on and on, then cries about the manner others respond to him. It's like debating with a woman or a crazy person.

Ok, I'll take that as a "no" from you. Let's see what your big johnson'd friend has to say about my peace offering.

And I guess that's 2 for 2. Well, I'm sorry we couldn't find common ground on this one, guys. If you're ever down for another debate (sans personal attacks of course), I'm totally game. I just hope we can leave out the mud-slinging next time so we can more efficiently debate the topic at hand. This one kind of degenerated into a pissing war of sorts, unfortunately. :(

Why don't YOU set the parameters and I'll go find you some more statistics for you. (And none of this "Only polls that made sure that the women had been prostitutes for a week or less!" business. Let's be reasonable.)
A study of reported crime incidence in the entire State of Nevada comparing areas where prostitution is and is not illegal would be interesting. Go for it.

Here's some forcible rape statistics from the FBI: forciple rape . You'll notice Nevada is 33. Absolutely no correlation between higher rape statistics with the existence of legal prostition nor prostitution in general. But according wired for sound it's a fact (legalized) prostitution will increase rapes. It's a fact simply because he believes and says so!

No no no. It don't work like that. I already asked if you wanted to continue the debate in a civil manner, and you both said no. If you'd like to change your response, then that's fine but I'm not getting back into this until we lay some sort of ground rules down. They're not even that much to ask either. Just that we respect each other's viewpoints and leave the personal attacks on the playground where they belong.

I don't think any one wants you back in the discussion. You offer nothing to the discussion. You continually violate the very "ground rules" you call for. I thought I made it clear that you're just stating your opinion and calling it fact and making strawmen out of others' argument among other things? And you want ground rules, what a joke.

Then stop baiting me, buddy. Man up and make up your mind.

Really? Quote a personal attack I've made against you, then. I'll be waiting. (Be forewarned, I've posed this challenge many, many times before. I have yet to have someone successfully come back with one).

Oh yes, you made it clear. You refer to statistics as "opinions" and common sense as "strawman" arguments. Like I said before, usually the only folks that use this phrase are far-left radicals, looks-matter activists, and others who basically don't like to hear their arguments simplified to expose their nonsensical nature.

And you want ground rules, what a joke.
Yeah. And you said "no" to respect and civility. You made your distaste for those qualities very clear.

How are you going to say your posts haven't been personal and riddled with insults? Well here you go, and why don't you quoote where I was personally insulted you and not your logic and reasoning?

Wired for Sound said:
I don't care enough about prostitution to investigate WHY there is less violent crime in escort businesses, but since you made an entire pro-prostitution thread it sounds like that's a job for you.

United States government (or as "Big Brother" as you and Last Man Standing prefer to refer to it as) lays its heavy hand wherever it's needed

Then get used to being known as feeble-minded for not being able to debate without resorting to personal attacks. Only those who aren't entirely secure in themselves and their beliefs would allow some random guy on the Internet with a moniker implying that they have a large penis using playground insults to affect them.

If you really want to get into a discussion of why that study is valid when taking into account stratified sampling and advanced range and frequency deviation techniques, then we can go there. Be forewarned that this discussion is much, MUCH too simple for that so it'll just further muck up your perspective.

This whole debate is the result of a grave misunderstanding...you aren't using standard English definitions

Here's a whopper:

Because you see what you WANT to see, man. You see the government torturing poor ol' Abdul that only took a wrong turn at Kandahar and ended up in prison! I see the United States of America protecting itself by using coerced interrogation on those that threaten our safety, and saving lives in the process. You see no progress being done as a result of the measures we've taken to prevent further terrorist attacks, whereas I see no attack occurring on our soil since 9/11 as a direct result of the steps we've taken. You see a woman trying to earn the almighty dollar in an honest living just like the next American, doing nobody any harm and just minding her own business. I see an STD-wheelbarrow that likes to spread her diseases to others, and self-destruct as a result of not being able to hack it in a real profession and/or being hopelessly addicted to drugs without seeking help. Our differences are what makes the world go round.

It is YOU that is having trouble debating a topic with facts and logic in play. And don't put the word "fact" in quotes. It highlights your penchant for having a distaste for these pesky little details.
Wired for Sound said:
Horrible, horrible logic. Terrorism is happening already and is unregulated and untaxed. Murder-for-hire is happening already and is unregulated and untaxed. SO KEEPING IT ILLEGAL IS NOT BENEFITING ANYONE. You've just crossed over into Last Man Standing land, Chief
Wired for Sound said:
You haven't been paying attention at all, have you?

Far-left late night talk show hosts aside, escort services are not "perfectly legitimate businesses." Sorry to bust your bubble. Say goodbye to Toto and the poppy fields and come back to reality.

See there you go again with insults and creating a straw man to attack. How ironic you deny you do this, then in the very next sentence you do just that create a straw man. When someone is this ridiculous how can you not question their rationality?

Yeah. And you said "no" to respect and civility. You made your distaste for those qualities very clear.
Oh really, I did? Just because you say so right?

Yeah, but it would be EVEN LOWER if prostitution were illegal Statewide! This statistic I just found about the white slave trade in Estonia PROVES it!
