Other option is go second hand. You can frame it as you like to be smart with your money. I bet in 15 minutes u could find all sorts of cool stuff on eBay you wouldn't mind having in your pad. For example if you're a golfer I bet you could find a beautiful titanium driver on eBay for 50 bucks or less.

I've been into martial arts for a long time and and dabble in learning a couple of Asian languages. Combined with the art and plants in my house it gives a bit of an Asian feel without being try hard. Given my tastes in women that works for me.
