That’s all leftist gobbledygook. What a load of crap. It’s not only unhealthy, it’s unsightly.
There isn’t a doctor or lay person on the planet going to say it’s not.
The modern diet has a price but many, including men want to be accepted for their addiction to food. Namely certain food types.

Where’s the fat men dating web sites? Lol. Women don’t want fat men because they are unhealthy. Duh.
But it’s ok for a woman. LMAO
I'm not making an argument against any of that. I'm arguing that their advertising strategy will work, whether you, me or men in general like it or not.

When I see men looking at women on the street, it’s almost always women with a little junk in her trunk lol. Like some of the girls they call thick look amazing. Stuff in all the right places. Actual T&A. I’m not a lesbian just saying lol, if I was I would prefer a girl with some curves like Marilyn Monroe, not a stick insect.
I have never found Marilyn Monroe attractive at all. I don't understand what anyone sees.

It's not about being ok with being fat PERSONALLY, their sentiment is that it's ok to be fat (as long as it isn't themselves). It's a popular opinion that women like.

The dream that one day the shape of their bodies won't be subjected to so much pressure to look one way or another. Their adverts aren't saying "we just sell fat woman clothes now", it says "we support women of all shapes and sizes". A message that most women are positive towards.

This will probably just boost their sales. You're plain and simply wrong, this isn't even hard to see.

I don't personally support what they do. This is just simple facts, whether I like it or not the truth remains the truth. It's fvcking easy to see how VS will gain from this, you have to be braindead or haven't paid attention to society the last 20 years to not see this.
Lol really?

So women now buy stuff not cause it sells them the dream of looking hot to men and make women envious but because the guys manufacturing the good is empathic toward their major flaws?

The only thing not hard to see is that you have no idea how advertisement works, I mean the real basic.

Let me guess the tv series "s3x and the city" didnt work cause it sold a dream lifestyle to women but because it was empathic toward unmarried women living a c0ck and c0cktail life style?

Guess you missed the outcomes of married women with kids who went in short circuit after watching that and either increased divorcing to buy that message or simply went depressed.

Bro no offence you have no idea what you are talking about, reality is basically saying that you are wrong.

What will happen is that victorias secret will lose the rep of being the sexy lingerie of sexy girls to become the cope of fat women, at that point no even fat women will buy it.

Reputation is what makes and destroy a brand.

Some of you are applying heterosexual male logic to the fashion industry.

Like a few of us are trying to explain to you, this is not about what men like to see. When was the last time you bought their lingerie? Do you subscribed to their catalogue?

VS isn’t marketed as porn for men.
Their decision isn’t about what you want, they don’t care what you want, you don’t buy their products. Just because VS is doing this doesn’t mean you now have to f**k fat women in their lingerie.

Unclench. This has zero effect on your sexual preferences. It’s not like we will all now blimp out because VS sells underwear in size 15. Do you all drop 40 lbs to be scrawny because a twink models for Hugo Boss?

Has nothing to do with making a statement. They probably don’t want to see fat women in their lingerie anymore than you do, but they are losing business and see that selling to a ‘wider’ audience can help them make profits so they are jumping on the body acceptance bandwagon. And the reality is that women are more motivated to buy clothing worn by women who look like them.
The fashion industry will do whatever they need to make money. This isn’t a feminists anti male thing guys, but if you really have an issue with it then don’t buy their products, oh wait...

I get that ( I don’t get the whole brad pit thing I don’t find him hot) but I’m using her as an example of what is seen (or was) seen as attractive, and she was seen that way by many. With some curves and boobs and an ass, as opposed to this woman, who is actually a VS model: I think the models from the 80’s/90s looked the best, IMO. 3096 I

I don't know, sounds like a lot of heterosexual male reactivity to me.

Oh stop making so much sense. Obviously all this "logic" is born of your feminine imperative to act only on your emotions. Because guys always think logically and not with their emotions or hormones or... or... or...

oh, wait...

(for those who need the hint: "Captain! Sarcasm meter is at maximum capacity!")

I find you can reliably identify the dumbest males here and in other places by how much they spout that "men" - like themselves, of course - are "rational", "intelligent" and "logical" while "women" cannot be. They'd also be the most likely to accuse you of being a feminist for saying things like that lol.

Every guy has their preferences but I'd definitely prefer thick Women over extremely slim Women. Many slim Women look great but when you're bending that booty over.... Thick is where it's at.

Eww. Just... eww. And this is coming from someone who dated a size 0/00, whom I found irresistibly attractive. That model? Just no.
She has a beautiful face. But a lot of them are flat like that because they are underweight. It’s amazing what a padded push up bra can do (take my word lol).
These girls are under a lot of pressure to be sample size so they can get contracts with various designers. If you want to know how models really feel check out the Instagram sh*tmodelmanagement.

They have to sell their product to fat women too, and marketing doesn't care about your boner.

Remember before the internet when people used to fap to the lingerie section of the Sears catalog?

I guess I disagree on the face as well. Looks like she dieted so fiercely that the end result is facial muscles that are out of proportion with the rest of her face, now that there is such a low body-fat percentage to smooth things out. That plus she has those dead eyes you often see in runway models.

And agreed, not really critiquing her as a person. This is what she has to do to stay in the profession.

Failure to understand marketing and the human mind. The whole thing is a political affirmation and is not intended to sell products.
It doesn’t speak to the ideal vision of a woman’s self, there’s no real marketing strategy there.

However it may increase their sales do to the political affirmation. That’s the marketing strategy. But there’s no sales value in a fatty in lace.

You almost got it. You're making it into an "either or" though, they can do both. They still sell hot underwear, even if they're a bit larger than they should be. You see? Putting in ONE (1) single larger model won't scare away slim women and women in general ARE empathetic towards fat women.

It's why this works, they wouldn't do this if they couldn't make money on it. They are still a company, it just so happens that this crap sells.

Let me guess the tv series "s3x and the city" didnt work cause it sold a dream lifestyle to women but because it was empathic toward unmarried women living a c0ck and c0cktail life style?
Both, again BOTH. It's not mutually exclusive.

Guess you missed the outcomes of married women with kids who went in short circuit after watching that and either increased divorcing to buy that message or simply went depressed.
Not the shows fault, it's merely a trigger. The problems were already there, anything else could have made them snap.

Bro no offence you have no idea what you are talking about, reality is basically saying that you are wrong.
Reality is saying that body positivity is widely regarded as good among women.

What will happen is that victorias secret will lose the rep of being the sexy lingerie of sexy girls to become the cope of fat women, at that point no even fat women will buy it.
I don't think so. I just think they'll increase their market share. Only making fat women's lingerie would probably have the effect you're thinking of, but that's not the case. Besides, they have ONE (1) larger model, just ONE.

You really have a lot of faith in women's ability to resist this feminist message, I don't. They'll definitely bite on this, no doubt about it.

Mate its ok, the market in the long term will show which one of us made the best analisys.

This topic is not that important to me, Im not involved with lingerie and definitely not with fat women and Im pretty sure there are topics that deserve our attention most.
