Using PUA/Social Dynamics in a Political Setting?

I realize this is off topic as far as pure PUA material goes...

I have been a PUA practioner since 2006 and have recently moved to DC to hopefully enter into politics in some capacity. I have attended several social gatherings (fundraisers, ****tails, ect...) and the social dynamics of this supercharged political atmposhere are competitive to say the least. My goal isn't necissarily to pick up women as much as it is to network and make contacts that further my career.

I am toying with the idea of using the social dynamics taught in many PUA styles to make an impression on others in positions of political influence. Obviously I'm not going to walk up to a congressman's cheif of staff and ask him who lies more men or women...or should I?

To all the gurus out there:

what are your recommendations?

how should I tweek the PUA material to suit an old male/young female crowd?

does anyone know of material out there that might discuss things like this?
