Children helped grow weed during summer.

Best weed growers got a medal!

Weed was used to make ropes, and fabrics, and other useful things.

Cool pics. I like the medal. The top pic is hemp, but the one below it is actual bud, probably grown for seed, from which the oil is pressed. Seed-making varieties are much more profitable to grow by the acre than fiber-making hemp.
