I'm too young to drink at bars/clubs, and occasionally they'll be a party, but I don't want to rely on that. Movies are full of high school chicks that are too young. Nobody is around school this time of year and I really don't want to sit and play video games all night. What is there to do?

He posts here, so he doesn't know any girls. Plus he said it's the holidays and everyone has gone home for the break.

What he can do is download counter strike and go get some nitrious oxide cans(whip cream things) and just get high and play counter strike. It'll be a blast!

I've decided that it sucks being 18-20 for meeting chicks if you don't go to a college full time. Yea, there are the occasional parties but they seem few and far between.

At this point, I am just waiting to get my own place and turn 21 so I can go out to the bars/clubs.

So my advice to you is just hang out with some friends and have some fun.

It's winter time. Go snowboarding.

That's all I've got for ya, but it worked for me time and time again. Get good and it's even a great way to meet chicks.

What about a fake ID? I'm a 20 year old college student, and I've been using a fake ID to get into clubs and bars since I was 18.

Alright people, some background of where I am from.

I live in the "wonderful" city of Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a place that has much to offer toward children, endless things toward adults, and nothing towards teenagers, especially the 18-20 crowd (me).

There are no underage clubs in the Vegas valley (trust me, I tried to email the local Government to request a teen club and got nothing). Essnetially, that limits me to house parties and in general I do not like them. School Club nights are ridiculous in that they only play loud and obnoxious rap and hip hop (I am an Electronica guy). The University barely caters to the underage crowd.

It works like this; the Vegas economy gathers most of its revenue toward adults. Teen Clubs have been around in the mid 90's but since there was no alcohol or gambling, there was little business, and since Adults provide more revenue than teens, the clubs went bye bye.

There was a water park, theme park, miniture golf hangout with arcade, numerous lan centers, and incredible independent arcades that all fell victim to Vegas revenue and were forced to close its doors. This leaves very little for people like me to do on a Friday and Saturday night (I am a hardcore gamer, but I would much rather be kicking it Saturday night instead of playing Capcom vs. SNK 2.)
A short list of teen hangouts that have closed since 2001 in Vegas:
MGM Grand Theme Park
Wet n' Wild (turned into Condo Development)
Scandia (same as former)
Gameland Arcade (now a church, not even kidding)
Mary K's arcade
Planet X1 Lan Center
Cyber X Lan Center
Sancturary Teen Club
Tremorz
All American Sports Park

And that is the short list. There is basically nothing for teens to do in this city. There is nowhere I can go to dance, and there are no lounges to sit and socialize (with the exception of a VERY nice coffee lounge outside the strip, but is in the process of obtaining a liquor license which means no more hangout for me).

Onto the subject of Fake I.D.'s, not in Vegas. Forget getting into a club in a Strip casino, because it will not work. These casinos are near flawless in catching cheating gamblers, and have done the same with underage patrons.

Basically, when I hang out with friends I am limited to chilling at a house, seeing a movie, going bowling, playing pool or drinking coffee at a Starbucks. For me, finding a girl outside of school or my extracirriculars is very hard.

I don't mean teen clubs. I mean 18+ clubs that still serve alcohol. If you're 21+ you get a wrist band so that you can buy alcohol. If you're 18/19/20 you can still dance in the club, but can't drink. I've been to clubs that do it around here.

Try going to the clubs that serve alcohol and find out if you can go in just to dance and not drink. It might be a long shot, but it's not like you have anything better to do :p

I just find it hard to believe that there is no market for 18+ clubs in Vegas when there is in other cities. Especially if they're as good at detecting fakes as you say.

^^Trust me, there isn't. The Review Journal (Local publication), LasVegas.com and some other travel sites state that there are no teen clubs at all, nor will it be likely. (that includes 18+)

" "We would never do anything like that," Feldman said. "We're not doing anything to encourage people to bring their kids. It only may seem that way because our definition of entertainment is different than it used to be." Alan Feldman, spokesman for MGM Grand when asked if there will ever been a teen or 18+ club.

And once again, it's all about revenue. Gambling and Alcohol is this city's biggest source of profit, the only non-gaming event being the National Finals Rodeo. Places like that only divert money away from casinos, and owners don't want that.

Las Vegas is a very shady city, and I have seen corruption and lies in the 18 years I have lived here. The only casino owners care about is money and development. The games here are geared so that in the end, you will never win. That is how this city gets all of its money.

Basically, the only reason for what little underage activity the city has to over is to lure families in, to get the kids away while mom and dad spend everything they have in the resorts. It has been said before and will again that they are NOT gearing this city toward teens, but are forced to adapt to draw families in.

In conclusion, Vegas doesn't give two ****s about Teenage lifestyles.

If you don't believe me, come visit here (from Orange County it should be a moderate drive). Things don't work here like they do in OC. Check out http://www.lasvegas.com and look under nightclubs. All of them state that you have to be 21+ to get in.

I've been to Vegas (and no it's not a moderate drive lol). But I was 21 when I went. That place is confusing as hell to drive around in, so there's no way I'd try to identify all of the clubs there.

If there aren't any 18+ clubs, it seems like a good niche for an entrepenuer to exploit the locals. I don't expect casinos to have 18+ clubs, and I don't expect them to advertize to people under 21. It just seems like something the local kids would want to spend money on if there's nothing else to do there. Orange County is right next to LA, which has tons of clubs (competition). But the Boogie, which is a club in OC, still attracts tons of the 18+ crowd. A smaller club called Tijuana's has 18+ nights and that place is always packed as well with locals. I'd also bet that OC is smaller in population than Vegas.

I e-mailed the mayor three times over this issue. It is safe to assume it isn't going to happen anytime soon. (for the record, no response from him)

It sucks, but no one from here listens to us, even when we speak up like myself.

The mayor isn't going to do sh1t for something like that. Clubs aren't a public building. The mayor would be the person to ask for a new school or firehouse.

If you want a club, find a partner with some capital and open one yourself. Advertize at the local colleges with those annoying car fliers. I get tons of those for clubs at my college. Open it somewhere outside of the tourist traps where the rent is cheaper. Your target audience should be the people who live there.

Hell, I would do it if I lived in Vegas. You would have NO competition!

i got to 21+ bars with guys that are 21+

i've been told i look older. i also dress mature so 90% of the time there isn’t a problem.

you can also talk yourself into a club. tell the bouncer that you're waiting for people inside. you have to meet them inside the place and then you're all going to leave at the same time. tell him the club is a meeting place.

OR you can be like "oh i lost my ID a few days ago" the bouncer will let you in most of the time as long as you look old.

or if he knows you under 21 you can be like "dude, i'm not here to drink, i'm a driver (flash him your car keys) i'm just here to hang out with a friend and meet up with this girl" or something along these lines.

Just walk up like you expect to be let in without a problem and be a little phased when he stops you. Like it’s something that has never happened before. Good acting helps :D

i used all these lines and techniques, and i rarely get turned away.

It sucks being under 21. I used to date a girl that was 23 and it was awful when I had to wait in the car like a little boy when should would be alcohol for us. Oh well. :p
