List your top 10 or even more songs of the 90's and why you feel that they are in that list.
Here is my list:

1."tha crossroadz"- bone thugz & harmony- Best rap song ever, brilliant song

2."kiss from a rose"- seal- Beautiful melody

3."counting blue cars"- diswalla- the vibe of the song just takes you to another level

4."on bended knee"- boyz II men- No group in the 90's blended their voices together like Boyz II Men

5."one sweet day"- mariah carey & boyz II Men- Classic song, great message

6."take a bow"- madonna-Babyface did an excellent job producing this song for Madonna and lending background vocals

7."3 A.M."- Matchbox Twenty-Rob Thomas voice excels in this song

8."good enough"- sarah mclachlan- Beautiful voice, beautiful song

9."Better Man"- Pearl Jam- Just one of those songs that you can't stop listening too

10."dreaming of you"- selena
10.Again"- Janet Jackson- Close choice between these two songs, Selena of course died at the age of 24, and Jennifer Lopez got her big break by portraying her in the movie "Selena". Janet Jackson does a great job with a wonderful melody in this song

Oh, not the fvcking Macarena!!! Dear God, NO!

Here's a few that quickly died out:

Jump - Kris Kross (I believe this broke a record for the length of time it was on the charts)
Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus
Candle In The Wind (new version) - Elton John
Mmmmm Bop - Hanson
I'll Be There For You - The Rembrandts
My Baby Loves A Bunch Of Authors - Moxy Fruvus
Informer - Snow
Tubthumping - Chumbawumba
Truly Madly Deeply - Savage Garden
I'm Too Sexy - Right Said Fred

And to think we had to live through this 5hit.

I think that the "main" songs for the 90s were:

Tubthumping (Chumbawamba)
Bittersweet Symphony (Verve)
Californication (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Give It Away (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Basket Case (Green Day)
Pretty Fly (Offspring)
Barbie Girl (Aqua)
Adam's Song (Blink 182)
I Don't Want To Miss A Thing (Aerosmith)
La Copa De La Vida (Ricky Martin)
Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
Baby One More Time (Britney Spears)
My Heart Will Go On (Celine Dion)

I had to leave out these 3 great songs because they are from Y2K exactly:

It's My Life (Bon Jovi)
Freestyler (Bomfunk MC's)
Rock DJ (Robbie Williams)
