Today's society, oh boy! You live, you experience things, you see things and you learn.

Today's society is screwed up in so many ways:

-Drugs, tattoos and addiction. Most young people today have at least tried drugs once in their life and probably do it from time to time, and you have those who are addicted. Than, you have tattoos - everyone I know wants one. What the **** is the point? Are they brain damaged? Some people find it appealing, though I don't. You've been given a nice body, why ruin it with permanent marks? Some people don't understand it's PERMANENT - you make a mistake and you live with it the rest of your life... not so easy, eh!

-Health. I personally don't believe in medications (unless you have a disease or your REALLY sick). How many people are overweight? How many people spend ours in front of a TV or computer screen and are inactive most of the day? Don't even get me started on fast food restaurants - I can't bring myself to go there anyways. Let's not forget the drugs.

-Gays, Lesbians, Bisexual and all those abnormals. Seems like there's more and more of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites... What's wrong with today's society? Why do the **** do people want to turn into man/woman?

-Selfishness. This is a BIG ONE! People are always centered around their needs. What happened to the good ol' days were people did things for other people out of kindness? We're so lucky to have what we have, meanwhile there's people starving in the world, but ours needs are apparently more important.

-Respect, Self-Respect and Self Worth. It just breaks my heart to when I see shows like "Maury Show" and "Jerry Springer". I know it's not everyone who's like that, but just the fact that's the many people like that in the world makes me cry inside. No wonder some girls turn lesbian and men turn gay. Woman get everything they want from most men so they turn lesbian. Men turn gay because girls always mistreat him because he gives them everything he wants... Of course, there's more reasons. I also think we have too much freedom these days, too many options.

The list goes on...

To sum it all up, where are all the real men these days? The guy who is nice, friendly, kind, sociable, treats everyone equally and with the respect they so deserve (not these pussies who give women everything they want) does not consider himself above others and just helps people out for the sake of helping them because they need it.

It's a damn shame that today's society is ruled by Feminism.

Yes it is. Our culture stinks.

But instead of complaining, what I like to do is to interact with as many people as I can everyday, and set an example, and do my part to help bring society closer to how it used to be.

I used to dwell on this stuff and get really depressed, but now I channel it into being positive...

Where to even begin ..

You criticize homosexuals, calling them "abnormals", and then you go on to say real men "treats everyone equally and with the respect they so deserve".

I suppose you aren't a real man then. Too bad, because our society seems to be lacking in them these days.

Drugs/tattoos/addition: When all basic needs are satisfied, imaginary needs are created.

Health: Our bodies are built to store fat and die young. Blame nature. Blame technology.

Homosexuality: ...is like religion. Either you believe in it or you don't. And I'm sure if either side had it their way, there'd be a witch hunt.

Selfishness: We're all selfish. And it's a capitalistic society.

Respect/Self-respect: There'll be supply as long as there's demand.

I'll add another point to your list.

- racist/ignorant/overly religious white supremacists

Whoops. You fit the bill on that one.

Also, I disagree with your so called "BIG ONE". Don't be a fool, people have always been selfish all throughout history. You need to stop reading so many fairy tales about the past, especially the oldest one in history.

Although you have valid points on Health and feminism. That's it.

our society is more civilized and rational than ever before. and don't give me your grandma's stories about europe 'back in the day', north america, especially canada, is a great place to live.

human nature is always finding something in the past/future to strive for, always assuming there's something better out there.

post-industrial life sucks, most of us end up as insignificant worker bees living for no purpose than to see the next morning. but it sure as hell beats being a 12-year-old mine worker, a slave, starving, militarized kid working in the good ol' days.

get your head out of your ass. at what other point could you sit on your computer and interact with people all over the globe, access all information on a whim, and complain without fearing government sanctioning.

i dont consider life a miracle or a gift, but this society sure as hell beats the ignorant, oppressive and fundamentalist societies of the past.

imagive being born with a horrible mutation and being treated as satanic as a result. or having something like autism back in the medieval times. if nothing else, we now have the freedom to kill ourselves more than ever, without being convinced we're going to hell for eternity if we do.

what kind of a stupid mentality is that - were lucky to have what we have?

nobody asks for sh!t. starving people make starving children. ugly people make ugly children. what do you want me to do about it? the only real solution to ANY problem to eliminate the source entirely. want to eliminate famine? kill everybody who has it. anything else has drawbacks. you feed starving people and they make children that you also have to feed. there is no 1 correct answer.

and why should we feel better knowing that other people in the world are suffering? why should we remind ourselves of the suffering of others in order ot make ourselves feel better about our own lives? if anything, watching the poor and sick should make you feel WORSE about yourself, your world and your existence.

Today's society can be summed up like this:"The game is the same, the players just changed." Nothing is new under the sun and it won't ever be till humanity has changed into something else entirely. The last generation was getting toasted watching porn playing like mainstream movies now, then sobered up when they learned everyone was doing it and it wasn't cool or edgy anymore. I mean, the founding fathers were snorting opium and every still hold them as the example of what our country is. We have ideals about what every man should be and hold people up like gods because they managed to do something right at the right time, but its really all in our heads. The man who saves the kingdom could be the same guy you see who kills people when he gets drunk. The same guy who frees slaves may be the same guy who beats his wife. I've just learned that as flawed as you are, so was almost everyone else who lived and ever will live so it's best not to expect as much. I say just concentrate on building something for yourself and stop mourning the loss of a "perfect" world.
