People seem to have a profound misunderstanding of what the term "alpha" means. Alpha = leader. The only man who qualifies as the alpha on a football team is the quarterback. Everybody else is a beta by definition. When you hear news stories about NFL players committing various crimes, beating up their wives, abusing their children, etc., the perpetrators are almost never quarterbacks (the only exception I can think of is Michael Vick). In other words, it's the beta NFL players who are committing the vast majority of crimes.
This is silly ^

Alex Smith is the big bad "alpha?" I guess Ray Lewis was "beta" in comparison to Joe Flacco or even Trent Dilfer during their 00 season?

Sometimes the guys here are less logical than females...

As I said, some people are very confused by the term "alpha". Being big and "bad" does not automatically make you an alpha.

Have you actually taken the time to read the thread? If you have, I don't really buy into the whole alpha/beta nonsense.

Anyone who knows anything about the Ravens knows that Ray (the MLB) was the leader of that team. But that alone doesn't make anyone less "alpha" or more "beta" just because they did not have the seniority of Ray Lewis within the Ravens organization.

applegoo, as others have said you simply don't understand the concept of the word.

It doesn't matter of you're a leader or if you're big and "bad".

It's all in the mind...forget about whether being "alpha" gets you laid it's irrelevant.

The poster in the first page said it right, it's primarily about controlling your emotions.

The alpha male is deliberate in everything he does, that's because all his decisions are based on logic.

It's true that sometimes emotions get the better of us (all of us), but that doesn't excuse doing something stupid in the moment.

Women and children (and most men) are easy to control if you know how, striking out in most cases is counter-productive.

Dudes are too stuck on labels.

It goes like this for me...do I let any man or woman disrespect me or walk all over me? No.

Do I have drive and confidence to work hard and achieve different things in life? Yes.

Will I honor my word, and be a respectful and responsible person? Yes.

Thats really all I need to do to live an enjoyable, worthwhile, and meaningful life of purpose. I dont need a piegonhold labels.

Being born with the genetic tools to be an NFL running back: stocky, shorter, powerful, high fast twitch, strong, quick, agile...does not equate to alpha status....Rice was just born that way and honed those specific skills to the NFL level....he didn't work on the other aspects of a holistic person, and hence lost his sh!!t over his GF's behavior.

She of course was an out of control kuunt as well....it is amazing how 50% of the facts of the Rice incident have been wiped out completely as if she was just some innocent flower that got indiscriminately punched for no reason.

For real, I'm not saying what the dude did is justified but it's really not a big deal. His team dropped him, indefinite suspension from the NFL.. like WTF? Did anyone even watch the vid?? She came at him hitting him so he threw a little swing it wasn't even bad. She knocked out when she hit the rail. Not to mention she made a statement saying how she doesn't like people are in her business. So obviously she's fine with it. B1tch knows she was out of line.

Once again I am by no means justifying hitting women, but this isn't a big deal at all and everyone is ready to crucify this guy for something so miniscule.

Everybody has a different idea of what "alpha" is. There's no universal definition for it. Talking about it is silly. Your view of it is not universal. Don't believe me? Check out r/TheRedPill

Clearly you didnt watch the entire video. He spits on her outside of the elevator which is why she gave him a little slap. Then once they are in the elevator, he approaches her in order to intimidate her and spits on her again. Thats when she rebuffs him again and he throws a swing, in which case she charges him as he backs up. Then he levels her with a hard punch.

What video were you watching? Ray Rice got what he deserved. And btw, Janay's public statement's are all about saving her own money (which is Ray's money). If she was fine with what happened she wouldnt have been whining to Ray about how she couldnt believe he hit the mother of his kids, as she laid on that casino floor after regaining consciousness.
