It's changed over the years, but I smashed through that in my junior year in high school.

How many reps can you do with this weight?

1 rep maxes sir,
i can actually squat and bench those weights for more than 1 rep but my deadlift was what got me in.

Good work, congratulations.
I got a ways to go, my damn bench is what keeps me down.

Your deadlift is impressive.

bench was a slow progression for me as well, I prioritized by doing push ups, weighted pushups, hand stand push ups and decline push ups at home every hour on my off chest days.

Try doing some exercises like 25 - 50 decline pushups at home every few days, every hour for the whole day.

This alone will bring your bench up better than any weight routine you do in the gym.

hack squat - 700 pounds

flat bench barbell press - 260 pounds

deadlift - 400 pounds

So this puts me in the club, too. It feels good to lift heavy. My goal: to get stronger and stronger and get my weight back down to the 150s class.

A better place, a better time.
Huge dead there man.

I'm getting close! Not there yet though.

Squat: 305
Dead: 390
Bench: 230

Total: 925

75 pounds to go... I feel like squat is holding me back more than anything. I overtrained my legs improperly this winter with too much skiing stacked on top of normal lifting.

I just ask because I'm curious, why does it seem like my bench is stronger than a couple of you guys who have huge deadlifts compared to mine?

Squat: 365 lbs
Bench: 200 lbs
Deadlift: 475 lbs

These are my all time bests, I'm not sure I could get the deadlift at the moment but could probably do the squat and bench.

A lot of it has to do with leverages and how peoples' bodies are all different. For example, if you have short arms you will be a better bencher because you don't have to move the bar as far, but a poorer deadlifter because it increases the range of motion. I have relatively long arms for my height and am a good deadlifter and a terrible bencher.

What is your reach kerpal? I am similar with long arms and I know what you mean about leverage.

I don't know my reach, but I am 5'11 and my "wingspan" is ~75" IIRC.

I also have a bad attitude about the bench press, which contributes to the problem.

im an emotional guy and it comes out in my words sometimes. Its not a very good statement but doing push ups at the top of the hour has helped me alot and its one way to improve results.
