1.Just wondering what tecno music you guys recommend me to download to put into my ipod, like which one are coolest ones?

2. For those of you who have seen the movie "white chicks", when the black guy drugs himself and he goes dancing in the middle of the club, he dances with this tight tecno music, anyone know what that song is?

Deep house is pretty similar to trance, so mayb check some of that out. I'v never heard of richy hawtin before, is he chillout, ambient or what?

There's better techno out there. Personally i am partial to techno/house styles. I've grown tired of the tiesto epic trance staleness. Recently I've been listening to Global Underground 024, Nick Warren in Reykjavik. Funky, spooky house that has a good amount of edge.

The song by Dj Alligator is "Blow My Whistle, Bìtch", it's one of my all-time favourite, although it's not techno. Another good hit by him it's "Doggy Style" (if you like it doggy style, baby we can do it...).

Another really good DJ is Paul Elstak. Try "Brohymn", "Rave On" and "Promised Land". They are all Hardcore, though.

Check out "Rave Nation" too, I don't remember who's the performer, but it's pretty good.

I been DJing for about 10 years and tend to favor deep, tech, and groovin house music.

Right now I am listening to "SandCastles" by Jerome Sydenham on Ibadan Records. It's probably more techno than house, but I still think it's deep as hell. If you are driving anywhere in a rush, pop this one in your stereo and you wil FLY!

PS - You guys are all cheesy ravers! Not that there's anything wrong with that..

I like all styles of "techno". Although nowadays people are separting techno from trance/house......for awhile it seemed trance/house/happy hardcore/break beats etc were just a categoy under techno (i hate categorizing music).

Why dont they just call it "Dance Beats" and it it over with.


I been at it lately with a pair of Pioner CDJ-800s.

Haha, at least i'm not a candy raver. Most techno is cheesy, if you want deep stuff try out some shpongle or entheogenic. Anyone here listen to Sigur Ros? Awesome icelandish music.

Haha I was going to say that too! It doesn't matter what night of the week you go to the club, If techno is playing this song will be mixed in inevitably.
