I'm justing starting so I'm trying to get together all I need to start a nice routine. I know I need supplements, so I'm just trying to find out what I need, and get suggestions on brand, types etc.

So far I plan to purchase:
Met-RX MRPs
Unknown brand of Creatine
Unknown Multivitamin of some sort
Unknown brand of Whey Protein Powder
and some Flax Oil.

What are some brand suggestions, and do you think I should add any other sort of supplement into that list?

Forget supplements for now. Make sure your workout regimen and your diet are in check first. Forget MRP's. Just find a good whey powder, some cheap creatine, something to take it with (apple or grape juice or dextrose), and a good multi, but NOT before you have your workout and eating in check.

For Protein, I use Max Muscle High 5. 5 different time released proteins.

For Glutamine, I also use Max Muscle Glutamine. Their products rock I'm telling you.

For Creatine, I use SANS V12. I've been on it for 2 weeks now and it's INCREDIBLE! It tastes like a$$ the first few days but I got used to it pretty quick.

I also use a liquid multivitamin (as opposed to a pill). Your body only absorbs 20% of a pill whereas 98% of the liquid vitamins are absorbed into your bloodstream. Look up Seasilver on the internet for information.
