Supplements - Capsules vs. Tablets

I am starting to take alot of supplements for various reasons. Some of them I have bought in tablet form, some in capsules. Is the tablet form going to be as effective as the capsules? I am concerned about absorption issues.


Here is a list of supplements I am taking throughout the day. Not all together.


Ginko
Cayenne
Green Tea extract
5-htp
Chelated Magnesium
L-tyrosine
Zinc
Ester-c
Plant Sterols -- (Lowers Cholesterol)
Red yeast rice -- (Lowers Cholesterol)
Coq10

I will soon be adding DMAE and getting rid of the 5-htp.

Doesnt really matter. Your body will only take what it needs. capsules absorb faster once the skin is ruptured because theres powder inside which will absorb faster since tablets need to be broken down before they absorb.

I don't know. But here is one advice: Take the supplements with orange juice. Trust me. Then come back and tell us what difference do you feel ok?

Ginko - Supposed to improve brain funtion

Cayenne - Good for stomach and circulation

Green Tea extract - Easier than drinking green tea all the time

5-htp - I stopped taking this one but it's supposed to raise seratonin in the brain. Might bo back to it.

Chelated Magnesium - Prevents tolerance to amphetamines (prescribed)

L-tyrosine - increases dopamine to increase effectiveness of amphetamines (prescribed)

Zinc - Prevents tolerance to amphetamines (prescribed)

Ester-c - cleans amphetamines out of your system at night to help sleep

Plant Sterols -- Lowers Cholesterol

Red yeast rice -- Lowers Cholesterol

Coq10 - replenished lost COQ10 from taking cholesterol lowering substances

DMAA - just started this one. It's supposed to improve focus. Haven't noticed much.


Most places that I pull up on google say capsules are better for absorption.

Liquid is the best form--However it can be comproisemed if it takes to long to get to you

In terms of pills

Softgels are the best
Capsules are 2nd best
Tablets are the worse cause of the glue and binding in them
stay away from magniusm sterate if you can

Take it from someone who works in the supplement industry

I personally dont take any supplements. I use to take protein powders, which I probably should start taking again.. But, some of these supplements your taking you can probably get the same thing out of eating fruits and veggies which would probably save you $$$.

Truth (excluding borderline-illegal heavy stim pre workouts). Even for protein, powder technically isn't necessary, the only thing you're paying for is convenience, because you'd have to eat a sh1t ton to get the same g of protein contained in 2-3 scoops of whey powder, taken a couple times a day. This, of course, is assuming one is trying to get huge, not just maintain.

i dont have access to any supplements.not even a vitaminshop. nothing.
i live out in the boonies and the only supplement is tap water lol.
even the coffee sucks, i mean its like drinking rat piss mixed with sewer.that bad.i still got around 4 inches on my arms in a year, just eating a lot.

for comparison : i go out with colleagues.they order one submarine each, i order a bucket of chicken and 4 subs + 2L cola.
one of the girls saw that and she is like : you gonna vomit that by the time you get home.
nope.went home that night and had 3 burgers + fries.
