For the past while, Sony has been putting software on their audio CDs that they call "copy protection". When you insert one of these CDs into your pc, the autostart runs the software and installs it onto your PC.
Apparently, it prevents you from ripping the CD and prevents you from putting the tunes into your ipod. If you try to remove the software, it might fvck up your OS
The simple solution is to hold the shift key down when you put the CD in, and wait till the CD spins down. You must do this EVERYTIME you use the CD. If you didn't do it the first time, then you're probably fvcked.
California and New York have filed class action lawsuits against Sony. (Sony sucks anyway). Hackers have also been exploiting the "protection" software.
The sad thing is the artists are recieving the flak. Check out the ratings on Santana's new album.
