So I just finished listening to an audio seminar by David DeAngelo on online dating and it got me thinking.
He mentions in there that you should create a fake woman's profile (with a picture of a random hot woman) and examine the responses you get from all the guys. In the seminar he does this himself and reads all the lame replies he received from guys trying to get her attention.
He says that a hot girl on these sites will likely receive up to 100 messages per day from afc guys and they all end up sounding exactly the same as eachother. Basically they all say "you're so pretty, I know I'm not exactly what you're after but maybe we could get on well. Hope to hear from you!!" The woman will basically not even open most of the messages because it's simply a waste of her time.

So I decided to try this for myself. I created a profile on a popular free dating website, found a pic on google images of a universally accepted image of a hot girl created some general fluff talk for the details and waited for the replies.
Well, I created the profile 3 hours ago and so far I've received 25 messages!! They are all saying basically the same thing. No wonder women feel they have so many options. There is a friggin army of AFC losers out there willing to pander to them and give them anything they want!

Now I see what David D was talking about. You have to stand out from the crowd by making her qualify herself to you. Do not try to amuse her or convince her that you're good enough for a reply message. You should be teasing her from the start, act suspicious of her. NONE of these guys are doing this I can assure you.

I urge you guys to do the same just to really hit it home to yourself that it really is easy to make yourself stand out and look exceptional compared to all the other guys on these sites.

I could post some of the messages if anyone wishes. Some are pretty pathetic it makes me feel sorry for the guys.

Im 27 from London (north west) I work as an accountant for a casino in London (west end). The job is good as is the money but the people are the best.
When im not at work i love doing sport which i do 3-4 times a week, and love chilling with my mates doing whatever when ever.
Love going out to new and different restaurants and bars and clubs and dancing the night away.
But i also like staying in and cooking a nice meal. Then after snuggled up on the couch watching a dvd with some strawberries and ice cream.

You're right that is pretty much the only neg out of all the messages I've received, props to the guy for that.
However he messes it all up from the beginning by trying to sell himself at the start of the message IMO.

these arent really good examples simply because these guys have to resort to online dating because of the fact that they ARE afc's in the first place. they cant find a date in real life. no DJ needs to resort to picking up girls on a dating site...

I did this long ago. Every time you log in, you get flooded with emails because usually those sites bump you up search lists and such by last login date. You log in on the fake profile and have a few msgs within minutes.

What i don't get is why guys send the emails they do. Even in my most afc of days I wouldn't email girls like that. It's common fvcking sense not to bore someone to tears with mundane crap.

A couple times a few years ago i was replying to emails and just goofing around with guys. A lot of guys take a LOT of abuse. Start calling them harsh names and they barely mind as long as they still think they have a chance, which they think they do because there's always a chance as long as she's still replying. It's pathetic.

I came on strong to a couple guys and said some sexual things. They're very taken aback and not sure what to do or say at that point. It's funny.

Sounds to me like you're worried you'll fall for one of our fake profiles...don't worry man there's plenty of women on these sites. No need to get your knickers in a bunch!

And btw, do you honestly not think that every single one of these guys thinks they are being "real" and original in their messages? Of course they do. It's only when you actually do this and see for yourself what these chicks are getting thrown at them all day every day that you realise what you thought was "real" is just boring afc bull**** that every single guy does while thinking he is the original one.

It's always good to get a little perspective into these matters. It can only help your online game.

well, mainly because a true DJ is someone that can attract and get with girls on a regular basis in day life. if you can do this why is there a need to "resort" to anything? why waste the time?
its just common sense. DJ's have been getting with girls for a long, long time..way before the internet. why start using it now, especially when half the profiles are fake (as this thread proves..) when they can get perfectly fine girls with no problem in real life.
i am very very surprised no one has agreed with me on this...i mean COME ON!

Eh internet has its pros. I have alot of instances where I am on standby, and am limited to what I can do. They are a good way to waste my time.

Anyway, I was just chatting with a chick I met through a site, and was asking her to tell me some of the more entertaining lines she had heard from the site. She instantly forwards me this message,

"I have already met, married, and divorced you in my dreams. I don't really care one way or the other if you contact me. There are over 100,000 profiles on here."

It got him a response, but he blew it. Made me laugh though.haha
