So let me flip a coin...........and its heads. HOW TO SPOT OR CATCH A LIAR.
Everyone knows their guilty but certain types continue down the path of so called righteousness.........only to be exposed down the line. Here is how the investigators do it.
1) ACCUSATION WILL LEAD TO NON-DISCLOSURE-when you flat out accuse someone of wrong doing, all this accomplishes is alienating yourself, they will refuse to engage, argue, deny, etc.
2) GUT FEELINGS-intuition, you just know somethings up, is JUST NOT ENOUGH. You should have evidence to support your allegations.
3) THE RIGHT QUESTIONS-by asking the right questions in the correct order WILL get you closer to the truth.
4) SILENCE IS NOT GOLDEN-the abscence of words speaks volumes towards your guilt. People WILL form an opinion if you don't make a statement.
5) OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS-is where the truth lies, yes/no answers are not very effective.
6) BODY LANGUAGE-correct interpretations of body language is essential in determining credibility. If the two are incongruent, suspicion will arise.
7) ALIBY-if they don't have a viable aliby or excuse, credibility goes down.
8) SET A TRAP-ask questions that will back them into a corner. Example: "So you left work at 3:00 pm did you", then present them with a bomb like: I called and your boss said "you called in sick today".
*NOTE; before you throw everything out the window cause your soon to be EX had a transgression, do consider alternate remedies (marriage councelor, sex rehab, chaining them to the floor). The truth may set you free.........unless you are talking to a judge, police officer, job iterview, in any type of relationship, etc. Sometimes beng completly honest backfires and may end up costing you a lot more in the long run. There are times when not knowing or revealing the truth is the less stressful choice. Hats off to those that spew honesty 24-7 but let me tell you, it's a lot of work and some people end up getting hurt when you are completly honest with them.
Tons of examples: old guy in chat room pretending to be a young man, converses with teen girl who is really an old woman, who is also talking to another young man (who is telling the truth about his age). Love triangle jealousy erupts, so old guy kills young guy, all while young guy never knew he was talking to old woman.
-Police officer asks if you have any drugs in you vehicle, you say YES OFFICER I DO...........they search find guns, cocain, dead body in your trunk, etc
-Interviewer asks have you ever been fired from a job before.
-Teacher says "whoever just farted is going to be punished and will not be going on the field trip"
-GF asks does my butt look fat in these jeans
-You ask the Magician do you really cut that grl in half
