So Recently i started getting knee pain located on the side of my left knee. Im not sure if its a tear or irritation. But after 10-15 minutes in my run(sooner if im running fast) i start feeling a pinch sesnsation in the left side of my knee that would build up to a painful sting.. Also i realized that ive been landing on the side of my outer left foot. That cant be good. I just bought some new running shoes about a month ago and im thinking thats the problem... Also i was running on concrete, but ive done that for awhile and nothing happened. I read online and an article said the landing on side of foot is called pronation. Im thinking that is puting much stress on that knee.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I would recommend that you see an expert, but I think it's best that you continue asking an online forum and pick which advice sounds easiest.

I want to see natural selection at work. Don't let me down.

U should stop running bro! U should take regenerative food. I am no dr. but I would say that fish and borage or primrose oil would help u out with the inflammation. Or u can take something to increase ur testosterone, dhea or hGh and see if that helps. perhaps something like tai chi or massage would give u a hand.

probably the wrong shoe. Did you get seek out assistence or pick up the shoe on your own?

Also, you should strengthen your legs if you are not doing any weight training (or just upper body work)
All my knee problems went away as soon as my legs were finally strong enough for my body. (Didn't even know they weren't before I started squats and saw how week they really are)

Sorry to tell you this, but it's a career-ending injury. You MUST stop running or the tear will get much worse. Every time you run you are increasing the tear.

Did you ever cut open a golf ball that was made of hundreds of feet of rubber band? You did that to your self. Over time, the broken ends will form scar tissue. Even after it heals and you felt no pain for years, these scars will rub and cause painful inflammation when you run in the future. You will never be able to run again.

How do I know? Same thing happened to me.

You are not fit for military basic training. Make sure you inform your recruiter that you incurred a debilitating injury. They'll have you retested and give you an out from your contract.

So I'm leaving her to her pumped-and-dumped lifestyle and leaving her bastard child fatherless. I'd be better off with no woman at all than wasting another second thinking about her. I learned from my mistakes and the next relationship will be done with planning for my happiness.

And right on cue we have the quack with quack medical advice. As expected.

Now I'm just waiting for the OP to take a piece of advice, injure himself and THEN finally go to the doctor/specialist and get it checked out. After it's too late. Oh but you can't afford it. Can you afford a potentially serious injury? Which is cheaper? Because you realize, once you **** it up, even the best therapy and treatment will never restore your body to the way it was originally. Ever.

Stay tuned kids!

Well that's good. Did you go with a more minimal shoe like a Nike Free or something with better support like a Orthopedic.

Is there any sort of lump on your knee? For years I had a benign bone growth on my left knee and one day I was running and just fell, couldn't bend my leg. The bone growth was in the way of how my ligaments and tendons move and running cause massive inflammation and pain. I had surgery last year to remove it and things have been running smoothly ever since.

They're formally known as osteochondromas if you're interested.
