It's my opinion that movies really inform us as to what is "cool" and proper conduct in relating to others socially in day to day life. Recall, if you will, those annoying catch phrases from AUSTIN POWERS, any JIM CAREY movie, and STAR TREK, if you don't believe me.

Anyway, I'm looking for examples of cool characters that you might want to emulate in the process of relating to a woman on a pick-up, or a date.

I'll offer up a few:

Pierce Brosnan as JAMES BOND
Brad Pitt from FIGHT CLUB
Tom Cruise from TOP GUN
Jude Law from ALFIE (pre-breakdown)
Geoge Clooney from OCEAN'S ELEVEN

and my personal favorite

Christian Bale from AMERICAN PSYCHO

you can't really emulate one of these personalities. These are personalities that they've grown up with, in which outside sources have influenced them.

One cannot just adopt a personality of one of these characters. Its partially inborn and partially due to your surroundings. it would be damn nice to be like them, but damn near impossible.

i've really enjoyed watching diehard and lethal weapon (the first in each series) as i think both lead characters have so much presence.

especially mel gibson in lethal weapon. he has the "i don't give a **** attitude" better then any character i can think of.

Sweetcheeks, I replied to post in another thread about this.

The maincharacter from Good Fella's... You don't have to emulate his personality... simply his actions when he is around a woman

Taxi Driver

DeNiro in Taxi Driver? A guy who takes a classic chick to a porn, falls afc head over heals with a hooker, goes insane and kills people?

There wasn't even an ounce of DJ in that film. He was a dissassociated nare do well who had a total mental breakdown that helped him recover some stature. Even at the end he acts all afc and gives Cybil Shepherd a free ride.

RE WATCH THE FILM DUDE....HE IS THE ANTI DJ.

Movies suck for DJ method, performers like Frank Sinatra, and these days Robbie Williams, now they are strong independent dudes. I still wouldn't emulate them though, they are in an unreal world.

Mr. Pink from Reservoir Dogs, minus the physco tendencies, lol. He's cool, calm, doesn't get excited, almost looks like he's moving in slow motion.

unreal movie. not so sure of his dj traits..

if i was to pick any dj from that, bullet proof tony.

2 guns shoved in his face, and he has the composure to note that they are replica's. he then procedes to deleiver a very cool, calm well thought out speach.

couldn't imagine it happening in real life. but would be pretty cool if u could stay that cool.

I joined this forum on the day James Coburn died.

Coburn starred as "Derek Flint" in the "Our Man Flint" and "In Like Flint" movies.

He also did his own stunts and was a bad-ass in real life, who trained in martial arts with Bruce Lee.

Flint was America's answer to James Bond, and outdid Bond at everything, including getting women.
