A sad day indeed. He could have been one of the greats like Elvis or Bob Dylan but went crazy instead. I'll miss him.

I was never the biggest fan of the early Floyd, but an interesting character indeed, if not a more interesting story. A lesson in 'predisposition to mental illness + drugs = disaster'. I think his greastest legacy was carried out in his influnce on those arround him that went on to make the great music that we eventually heard.
