Not sure how this thread will go, but I feel I'm at a point in life where something is calling me but can't figure out what. Not just money either, but happiness. I'll start out by saying I do machining and programming and have been for the last 7 years. I've been thinking of other fields to work in etc but its hard when it's an employers market and not the employees. I graduated at 15 and was in college shortly after but had family issues plus couldn't make up my mind. I've had lots of other ideas for income and jobs but would like to hear from ya'll to get a different outlook!

She makes you weak in the knees.

But she won't give you the time of day.

Here is how to get her.

Graduated at 15...wow
Job: Entrepreneur/Future CEO and founder of my own web development business
Idea for income (I assume this is for us): Currently working on my vision of the next social network. Release scheduled for Summer. We'll see how it goes as far as income is concerned.

If you have been doing machining and programming ( I assume automated CMC 3/5 D machining), why not leverage that to develop something you can sell to other machine shops? use it as a side project, than see if you can sell it?

Of course as someone who has a little experience in this, it might be a bit niche/ difficult. if you graduated at 15 though your most certainly smarter than I am and could possibly see something I don't..

Nothing really I guess, I just started of thinking of things I wished Facebook (and I've noticed other social networks too) had, and eventually decided to "fix" the problem by creating the solution. Basic business thought process right there: Identify a problem, create a solution.

Only problem is profiting off something free.

profiting off something free.....advertisements, gifts , vouchers , bonus content
dude look at those scumbags in EA games....they got the right idea
i mean they sell a game for 50 then charge an extra 60 for a patch which was supposed to be there in the first place.....
though they won't last longer if they keep up with their ****ty games :box:

Many people fall into trapped ‘careers.’ I won’t say what’s my day job, but it has nothing to do with what I want. So now I’m now focusing on talents and passion by starting my own freelance graphic design & photography business.

lmao. That wouldn't really work for a social network. Ads are a given, but gifts vouchers and bonus content...lol. I have some ideas for profit in mind anyway, but like I said we'll see how far it goes income wise.

And 50? Hmm, you must be a PC gamer or you use a Wii lol :p

People are rarely these days doing what they love and making money off of it in America, that's just the harsh ****ing truth.

Even Muscians, and artist who are passionate about music have to deal with the bull**** politics behind getting your work out to the masses, be it dealing with record execs, agents, copy rights ect.

The Money is good, but I don't love what I do, I'm not going to lie to myself like that.

If I could make me a sandwich and have sex all day and get paid for it, then I would love my job.

There's always prostitution my friend. Or you could be a pornstar which is, you know, legal.

Majority of male pornstars had to do gay porn in order to step their first foot into the adult biz. Very, very rarely does a male pornstar start doing hetero porn right away.

True, not to mention they don't get paid very well-in the beginning at least. Not much later either really

What's popular now, FaceBook? Do you know how many times a month people search how to crack fb password?

Create a program that attempts to crack fb and charge for it.

Wtf...that is a very crap long time way to make money.

How instead of a dumb idea like that, create a social app that integrates with Facebook.

Computer programming is where I see all the jobs headed, I want to continue studying it and see where it takes me

Backseatjuan, my bro you are suggesting people do illegal things like 'create an app that breaks Facebook security' as a job. You're 32 years old. It's time to get real

I suggest reading The Millionaire Fastlane if you want to know how money works
