I've had a girlfriend for a while now and I still hang out with my roommates a lot but now they've started to completely ignore me. A few weeks back I asked them about spring break and we were going to plan something. A couple days ago I over heard them talking about a cruise they planned for spring break but when I asked them the next day about what we wanted to do they didn't even bring it up so I know they're trying to exclude me which sucks. We all used to be good friends and go out together but it seems like when I attempt to talk to them now they just want to get away from me ugh it blows. How do I reconnect with them.

When was the last time you planned something yourself and included them?

Have you been blowing your friends off to make time for your girlfriend? That is a very common situation which causes trouble between friends.

just hang out with them without your gf over there. They might not like her too. Like me and my old roomate (real good friends) would have UFC fight nights with no women allowed, or when all our familys meet up... no gf.

Yeah, I concur. Seems like the situation here. Does anyone else have a girlfriend? If yes, do they bring her around?

First of all, have you been trying to drill this sh*t into them? Don't ever do that.

Secondly, you must treat them as if they are at the very least as important as your girlfriend.

Keep it like that and you'll have a good balance of both mates and girlfriend.

1) Roommates and friends aren't necessarily one and the same, though it's great if they are.

2) If they commonly exclude you then they aren't your friends. However, it's unreasonable to expect people to never desire to spend time with others without you. Good example: Sometimes I like to spend time with my Dad, without my mother. Sometimes I like to spend time with my Mom, without my father. It doesn't mean I love either of them any less.

3) Friendships take work. Have you been holding up your part of the bargain?
