I just had an experience were this chick would complaint about her ex to me , and tell me how much she hated him .

Allow me to translate that.
You're just a friend, and my ex is still f**kin' me daily.

Happened to me too, she mentioned him as she was referring to something she said to him earlier on the phone. The weird thing is, she hesitated for some reason, it sounded like "well I was just telling my... uh, boyfriend". I didn't show anything, but I was like wtf.
