Geez, am I the only house head around here?

Le Champagne - Trent Moller
A Masterpiece of funky electronica

Sandcastles - Jerome Sydenham & Dennis Ferrer
Pure adrenaline. Play this one while driving real fast in a tunnel ;)

Son of Raw by Dennis Ferrer
That piano gets me hyped!

Knights of the Jaguar by Aztec Mystic
Note: The original cut is wayyy too fast. I play it at -6 on my Technics

==========================================

I also dig hiphop and breaks

Organ Donor - DJ Shadow
Wicked breaks

Just Be Good To Me (Fakin the Funk Remix) - DJ Shadow
Best. Remix. Ever.

Runnin - Pharcyde
Hard to pick just one from this talented, wacky group

Tribe Called Quest - Scenario
Here we go yo! Here we go yo!

==========================================

Can't forget that funk and soul

Funky Nassau - Beginning of the End
Reminds me of block parties of my youth

Heaven & Hell is on Earth - 20th Century Steel Band
Classic ghetto anthem

Rock Steady - Aretha Franklin
Great for grinding

Evil Vibrations - Mighty Ryders
The original rollerskating jam!

==========================================

And yes I must pay homage to my latino roots

El Cantante - Hector Lavoe
This song shows why he is the godfather of salsa!

8th Avenue - Willie Colon
Reminds me of home

Watching Windows - Nuyorican Soul Remixes Roni Size
Real schizophrenic track..blends hiphop and latin seamlessly

==========================================

I could go on, but I'm a DJ and have far too many records (and not nearly enough)

This is a Slow Burn....

The original Matrix Theme was fantastic too. Can't find a link to it.
Cool, party music. The Matrix soundtrack was good. One of the big tracks off that album was from Meat Beat Manifesto, called Prime Audio Soup ("set me free!")

THAT track will get your blood flowing.

Though most "pump you up" music is hard rock / metal, I want to let you guys know what a badass album Miles Davis' Kind of Blue record is. I've noticed a bunch of techno/house music which is good because I want to branch out more and I'm filling up the ol' Zen with stuff you guys suggest.

Reset / Interceptor, I'm downloading the Matrix soundtracks as we speak.

Great idea! :flowers:

Mona Lisa Overdrive, Chateau and Zion should be the first tracks you download for the Matrix movies Karma.

They kick tremendous amounts of ass.

Yeah I'm a big Aphex Twin fan (for years and years). That particular track is one of the scariest hardest songs he's done.

BUT--it's a great video to watch with the family.

The Good Left Undone by Rise Against- Very good high energy positive feeling song. If I had a DJ theme song this would be it. I liked it so much I linked it in my signature. It gets me going on days where I physically and emotionally and spiritually feel like crap so for this reason and any that I have already stated it is awesome. Really brings my confidence and energy back whenever I need a boost.
I'll see this song, and raise you "Survive", by the same band. No matter how crappy of a day I have had, or how down I feel, the mood change after listening to this song is phenomenal. Read the lyrics to the chorus, it speaks for itself.

Life for you has been less than kind
So take your number, step in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt,
But how we survive...is what makes us who we are.

Other songs that get me pumped:

Aces High Iron maiden
Lateralus Tool
Ready to Fall Rise Against
Voices Disturbed
Ten Thousand Fists Disturbed

:nervous:

I think I need to be rebaptized after listening to this. I think I may have unintentionally sold my soul after this went through my ears.

I downloaded Blessings Upon The Throne of Tyranny and The heretic hammer. Downloading the entire discography now . . .

This is the hardest sh!t I've ever listened to!

To any brothers that are Marilyn Manson fans I can confirm that his song "Heart Shaped Glasses" rocks hardcore.

Awwwwwwwww shhhhh*********ttttttttttttt.

Man some Dennis Ferrer gets me everytime. Cure and the Cause is the most soulful house cut I've heard in a minute, and his new interpretation of "Black Man in Space' with that saxaphone, yessir.

Knight of the Jaguar is coming back strong at the moment more than likely now that Sebastien Leger threw out a remix of it. I've had a remix of it for some time now but with Pete Tong playing a new mix I think it will resurface for a bit.

But yea for me, any electro or house gets me moving and grooving. That is the premise of all of it, that is why it is so enjoyable imo. Here are some of my current (past year or so) favorites

Electro/ElectroHouse
Josh Wink - Higher State of Consciousness (Dirty South and TV Rock mix)
Songs with the Count of Monte Cristo collaboratin with Sinden
Robb G - 12 inch Therapy (Bass Kleph Dirty Ows remix)
Sandy Rivera and Haze - Freak (Bart B More remix)
Laidback Luke

House
Hanna Hais - Rosa Nova (Scientific Soul's Sax in Rio Dub)
Dennis Ferrer - P 2 da J
Fish Go Deep - Cure and the Cause (Dennis Ferrer mix)
Mischa Daniel - Take Me Higher (and any of his songs with that latin piano riff)
Ida Corr vs Fedde Le Grand - Let Me Think About It
Mighty Dub Katz - Just Another Groove (Tocadisco Remix)
Most Hott 22 tracks

Trance
Norman Doray and Arno Cost - Apocalypse
Fragma and Kirsty Hawkshaw - Radiowaves
Fragma - Toca Me (Inpetto 2007 remix)

Say word! Need to snatch that one up.. I been playing his "Disco Volante" and that's been going over very well with the crowds - real tension builder.

Did you know that One Hundred Birds did a live acoustic cover of Jaguar? It's really amazing.

Cure & the Cause is dope too.. so dope in fact that I have totally burned it out and need to not hear it for a while ;)
